Does Mitch Allison out of East Texas still breed hunting ABs? Last time I talked with him was well over maybe 20 years ago? His dogs were huge.

I've been interested in the Gutherie terrier breed for a while. It was nice to see they're still around. Yes, I used to see them at some bay pen comps when I was living in Texas.

I remember talking with someone who had a YT video of his bull terrier male catching hogs. He lived in Florida and said the dog was really good but unfortunately someone who was jealous of his dog poisoned it so he never was able to make a breeding from that dog.

I've seen people who use different collars at different times so the dog learns to associate a certain collar with a certain activity and responds accordingly.

Had a friend in East Texas be hired to catch a hog that had been ramming the rancher's pregnant cows causing them to abort then the hog would eat the remains. Said that hog was the biggest one he had ever caught with his american bulldogs and he says he has seen his own hogs grab rattlesnakes and cottonmouths and eat them up real fast like they were spaghetti.

Sounds like someone who is afraid of pit bulls and buy into the mythical bs about them. It happened to my pit bull after I sold her to a high school senior to be his graduation gift. They caught who did it...the neighbor. Took that person to court and won court costs and stuff.

European Bassets are still bred for hunting and have more leg to them...same thing with dachshunds in Europe. Also there are other Basset breeds that have a lot more leg and look different. They are hairy fellows.
