Thanks guys.  All the dogs in the pictures were JC'S dogs from Brick House.  My old Ugly dog was hiding from the camera.  I do believe they have bright futures ahead of them as long as they keep going to the woods.

Got an opportunity to go hunting with JC of Wild Boar this past week. I took my Squaw dog and he brought his two Young Catahoulas for their first trip to the woods. Didn't take long and Squaw and Nard were on pigs. We sent Henna to them but she never made it to them due to getting on her own hog. We got as close to them as we could then went in on foot. Each dog had its own hog bayed several hundred yards apart. We went to Nard first and sent the catch dog.  He missed and the hog took off with Nard and Treu in tow. As soon as it broke, Squaw caught a small one and the race went right by her where Nard stopped the hog again in a creek. Squaw headed to Nard and they settled in baying. This time the CD hit and I was able to get the hog legged up and JC stuck it. Henna stayed on her hog and JC went to get the bike while I tended to the CD.  Henna's hog broke and came straight at us and Nard quickly joined her and we were able to get it caught. Nice way to start these two and I was pleased to see the young dogs stay with their own hog the first time out. Can't wait to see these two when they get a couple hundred hogs under their belt.

I'm glad you let that ole sorry black dog run with your pack.  I miss her sometimes.

I wanted to put this here for those of you that knew him.  Mike Hilscher passed this morning and will be missed around here.  He was a long time hunting partner and a good friend.  He not only enjoyed dogs but took every opportunity to take a kid hunting and show them the sport we all love.  So, here's to you Mike!  Until we meet again.

Started with Remington 700 took the action and parkerized it. Next put stainless and bead blasted Hart barrel (20 inch) and had it machined to zero tolerance. Had the trigger worked on. RyanTBH and his buddy Dallas made the trip down to Weimar to deliver a pup and make a quick hunt. They brought two dog Fred and his daughter Lady I believe, Aaron brought Okie and Rio, and I brought Mima and Chief. We each had a littermate white dog a piece PJ, Kimber, and Kid. Hudy had his catch dog Cleatus.
JC from Wild Boar USA and Mike Hilsher along with the land owner and his daughter joined us as we turned dogs loose right at day break. We hadn't been moving long when we spotted some hogs crossing the pasture headed for the swampy wood line.  We could see the hogs but the dogs could not so we stopped the buggies and let the dogs figure it out. Wasn't long and we had our first hog down. We moved a little ways the dogs made a good loop with nothing so we decided to move up. Wasn't long we had a short bay. Then split bays then two caught hogs. The dogs rolled off and caught a third before long. Then, all of the dogs took off and our morning really began.  Wasn't long all the dog were a good ways off with multiple bays we would get close to one the hog would break another dog would sound off a different direction etc. Aaron, Ryan, and I spread out and a bay erupted near Aaron he sent Kimber and the hog broke before she got there. She stayed with the cuts and had it caught 500 yards away. Well, after catching up with Aaron we tried to make it back to the bikes in hopes that we could move to another area that we knew the hogs were in but the dogs would have none of it. We spent the rest of our huntible hours gathering and looking for dogs. All the dogs did well and it was a fun hunt with good friends. I'll get pics up later when I can get better service on my phone.

You are correct Bryant Cotton is Zues' littermate. He is holding up good and still is able to get the job done.  He also takes longer to recover after a hunt so I take him on the easy hunts from time to time to let him get out.  I just don't use him as much any more.  I have Kid and Comet that go on the majority of the hunts but he will still catch if I need him to.  We have one female out of Pickle and Zeus named Karma she is a house dog and yard dog.  She will catch but has also done blood tracking and is one of Krystal's companions. 

Pickle (AKA Nickel) is out of Fat Jessie AB crossed with Jonah (Captain X Lucy). So this litter with Kid, PJ, and Kimber are back to 1/2 AB 1/2 Dogo. Bryant, this litter seems to be "hotter" than any of the other litters of these white dogs in the past.
We just bred PJ (Kid's littermate) back to Cotton. I can't wait for that cross to hit the ground. The pups out of this breeding will have all of the pieces of the original puzzle and be what we started breeding for all those years ago.

Nickel is Pickle and Mack was out of Zena (Captain X Lucy) crossed with Rock (Dogo out of Dennis Chavez Petey and Dogo gyp Sugar)
