3  THE CLASSIFIEDS / CLASSIFIED ADS / Trade for Four Wheeler on: July 30, 2009, 08:29:28 pm
DONT LAUGH, this is not a joke. I am moving to Ohio (not by choice, thanks ARMY) and do not want to carry my car because of the junk they spray on the roads in the winter. So I have decided to try and trade it off for a four wheeler. The car is a 1979 Ford Pinto (hatchback) Original Paint and Interior. Rack n pinion, Motor, and Transmission have about 3000 miles on them. I am the second owner of the car and have all of the original paperwork that came with the car brand new. CLEAN LITTLE CAR.

I have pictures and can email them, but they are two large for the boards.......  stick.glove@gmail.com

I dont know if this is where I should post this, but I am going on vaction to Cullman Alabama from Fort Hood Texas next week (9 or 10 FEB) and could move a pup or two if someone needs it. I know what it is like to need a dog moved, just asking for a little bit of gas money. Ill be making the return trip about the 24th.

6  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Can someone recommend a good coon light? on: December 01, 2008, 12:12:00 am
I dont know about for hoggin, but I use a 21 vlt Klight for coonin. Ways about a pound and it is a belt light so you hardly no it is there. The are made by Mike Kelley over in Cleveland Texas. They make almost all of the lights on the market today no matter who distrubutes it (valley creek) and Mike and his wife are the nicest people in the world to deal with. Quick service and extremely fast shipping. I called them before I went home on midtour leave and my 2 new lights where waiting for me when I got home 2 days later. Speaking of coming home only about 45 more days and Ill be back in TX and ready to stick some pigs!!!

AUSSIEDOGGER,
There are about a million opinions on AB's mostly falls down what line you prefer. I personnally wouldnt have one of these dogs. TO BULLY and definately not built for speed or for endurance. I prefer a more standard performance looking bulldog most commonly seen in the Scott Bulldog. His website is owlhollowkennels.com

Another site that has some great proven bulldogs on it is www.whiteknightabs.com There HOG HAMMER dog is pretty much what i think a perfect catch dog should look like.

I grew up with performance and OSW AB's and these are just my opinions..... I have yet to see a BULLY (JOHNSON) type bulldog be able to keep up or have a stable enough temperment for me

Bryant thanks for the offer. I only know of about 2 other people that hunt with any kind of dog around there. I will definately catch up with you when I get back. Hopefully this pig hunting wont mess up my coon hunting too much, Only so many hours in a night
9  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / INTRO on: September 04, 2008, 05:37:59 am
So now that I have officially wasted almost 5 hours of Uncle Sams time in 2 days on this board, I figure I should go ahead and introduce myself.

Im Matt, in Iraq till FEB. Im stationed at Fort Hood. When Im home I coon hunt 5 nights a week with a Walker dog. Been around hunting dogs since I can remember we always had a few hounds (coon and squirrel dogs) and some OSW or Scott type American Bulldogs for catching, stock, and utility work on the farm in Alabama. I have been in TX for about 10 years (when not deployed) and I am planning on picking up the pig stickin again when I get back.

Im interested in jagd's do they bay or are they real catchy? I want a pair to hunt with the walker at night and find pig's when we get the chance to go to the lease. Will probably bay and shoot until I get a catch dog ready.

So yeah thats about it. Oh yeah, recently single so I got all the time in the world to hunt now......

I cant believe it either. I would snatch up 2 of them if I was in the states right now. Ive seen them go as high as $1,800 and we used to sell them for $1000 when I was in Alabama.
