1  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Rathke BMC on: January 23, 2022, 02:18:56 pm
I had a female that went back to Rathkes Reno. She had the pink nose. Was the best dog I've ever owned. I dont even own a dog anymore, but if I was looking for one I'd find that blood for certain.

She was out of tank x Jenna in the papers

If you would like a pup to take and train then I can hook you up with one. I've got an American leopard cur male pup 15 weeks old. He's black and tan in color. He'll have a chop mouth.   You can run anything you want with him.  He'll be free all I ask is that you hunt him hard and keep me posted.

Thats is a very nice offer Mike. Don't hold him on my account. But I'll be gone for a week and will probably need to move another dog somewhere. But I may take you up on that offer. Do the parents hunt coons? They a long or short range type dog?

6  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Coon hunting on: July 23, 2017, 01:46:41 pm
aAnybody have any coon dogs? Been thinking about getting one. I've hog hunted for years, but just don't go hardly anymore. Seems it would be easier to take one dog and tree a coon. Instead of loading several dogs, hog trailer, hobbles, catchdogs, vests, etc. Just go tree a coon, shoot it with a 22 and go home and still get your working dog fix.
7  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Old Dog and Young Dog on: October 10, 2016, 07:34:57 pm
Old dog and young dog
$1,750
Olney, TX (76374)
I have a father and son pair for sale. Rooney the old dog is and has been my main dog for a long time he is half cat half bmc. He is the real deal no BS. Medium range been mostly roaded has good bottom, smart old dog knows how to work a hog. Only draw back to him is he is an older dog and you can't hunt him every night, or he will get stoved up but he will take one 4 or 5 miles he has a lot of hunts left in him.
His son is 15 moths old been on 15-20 hogs has a ton of potential handles easy. He is 3/4 bmc 1/4 cat. He was a planned breeding and the other pups from his litter are making great hog dogs and cow dogs.
Have plenty of references on these dogs. Price is for both dogs and is FIRM maybe open to trades, no dogs unless it's a stag bitch.
Dogs are located in Olney TX.

12  HOG & DOGS / HOG HUNTING CONTESTS / Re: brook foster benefit hoghunt may 30-june1 on: May 22, 2014, 03:26:14 pm
So you start at 10pm Friday night and stop hunting Saturday at 12 noon? Then weigh your hogs Sunday at 12 noon 24 hours later ? Will there be a polygraph?
13  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Breeding question on: April 23, 2014, 02:09:39 pm
I have a really tight bred gyp that is young and coming along great. If she proved herself to breed one day would you breed to a close related dog, or breed to the best dog you've ever hunted behind that hunts in a similar way, but isn't related.

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / How fast will a Barr grow? on: January 21, 2014, 11:35:21 am
We cut some boars over a year ago, they weighed between 40-70lbs probably. We turned them loose behind my house. A few weeks ago a hog showed up at my house and we caught him Saturday night. He weighed 192 and turned out to be a Barr. Could it be one of the pigs we turned loose? We thought we ear marked them but may have missed some.

W-tates dog Rooney. I haven't had the opportunity to hunt with a lot of different dogs, but the several I've hunted with weren't as good as Rooney. He's just a good all around dog.
