a little background. i saw a picture of a litter of pups advertised as black mouth curs. there was one black & tan, & 4 yellow brindles- one solid brindle, one with a ring neck, one with white legs, belly & under chin, & one with white spots up on sides. i asked if they were a BMC cross & they said no, they were fullbloods. not being a yella dog guy myself, i didnt think that was right, but didnt wanna argue about something i wasn't sure about.

bet people would be ticked if it was wild horses they shot that way or feral cows. they would both probably do as much damage i bet.or them wild non native goats.
na, we couldnt do that to feral horses. we have to kick the ranchers off the BLM so the horses can have it to ruin it for cows, wildlife & everything else, then we have to give the government $500 of our tax dollars per horse, per year, till they die of old age, to feed the excess of em that nobody wants while they graze on thousands of acres of privately owned grass that used to produce beef. at least you can still kill the hogs & use the meat.

i dont know anything about Lonnie Grey, but the origional Masters saddles were made in Brazil i think. & i believe Adriano Moraes was part owner in the company. the leather they're made out of is not like US skirting. it has an odd color, feel, & Grain on the slick side. i've heard alot of speculation as to what kind of hides they're made out of but i dont really know what it is. other than that, they were a pretty typical factory trophy saddle. they are advertising them now as "Masters Saddles by Lonnie Grey, NOW made in the USA"

Well, if they would give him the tools, he could dang sure pay his own way, lol. Man makes a heck of a hat! I had always heard he was in a wheelchair, or something like that. Story I was told by the older bronc riders was that his old lady shot him! yea he was in a wheelchair but i dont know the story. & he did make a nice hat, i've got one thats about 15 years old

I won a hat for high point bronc ride at the very first CPRA finals they ever had. It was in '92, I think. I was a custom hat from a guy in OK named Stan Runion. That was the absolute best hat I have ever owned. It was very well built, and held up forever. I had it re-blocked and cleaned twice at some place in Ft. Worth. I still wore that hat until I gave it to my younger cousin in about 2005 or so. Started getting a little tight for me, but he still wears it around. I don't know if he is still building them, but I was very impressed with that hat!
he's workin for the state now if ya know what i mean, seems he was makin more than hats...

my father in law has a real weak stomach. awhile back he was at a friends house & the friend kept sayin somebody musta stepped in dog crap cause he could smell it. finally the guy looks down & has a big brown glob on the side of his boot. he reaches down & whipes some off with his finger, licks it off & says "yep, there it is." (he had put peanut butter on his boot) my father in law barely made it out the door before he puked for 10 minutes

i've always been told to cut or pinch em off above the ground & carry em in a mesh sack like taters come in & they'll be more likely to keep growin, but it dont seem to be workin here. i find less every year.

i love em, but my spots havent been very productive the last few years. maybe i need to foller Waylon around! i dip em in egg/milk then roll em in 1/2 cornmeal- 1/2 flour with a little salt & pepper & fry in oil or butter!
