It's all about the next generation kids and dogs. Like the look of those leggy dogs. They should be able to cover some ground. Tough looking little fella's holding the dogs too.

I've got 03 catahoula pups around 5 months old. The parents are both registered but I have not turned in the paperwork for the litter. The sire and dam both hunt. I was keeping the whole litter but they are driving me crazy. They are very gamey. I live just north of Baton Rouge if interested give me a call. The better half says they have to go! I was keeping all five. I don't sell pups often and don't breed unless I want a pup out of my dogs. I'm keeping two out of the litter.

Everybody will have different oppinions depending on thier style of hunting. Most all the places I hunt the hogs run. If a dog barks more than twice before the hog breaks your lucky and if he stops again for another two barks you better buy a lottery ticket because its your lucky day. We still catch a blind cripple crazy hog every now and then but, I had at one time a dog that I would consider a RCD and have not owned another one since a hog took him out when he was around ten years old.  He was a registered catahoula who would bark at nothing he stayed with the pack most of the time could find his own hog never stayed at your feet and never missed to my knowledge. He was not a suicide catch dog. He had what I would call style. He never panicked (got overly excited) never got in a hurry just caught when he got close enough. You could put him in a pen and a big hog could come at him as fast and as hard as he wanted and ole Rebel would just meet him half way at a trot side step jump what ever he had to do to catch on the ear and that was a wrap. Done deal. I've searched for another one like him to no avail. I have pups off of him but nothing yet that is like him. He did what a cur dog is not supposed to do he was the exception to the rule. I have several dogs that will catch and run for a while with the pack but nothing that compares to what he did. Maybe one day I'll find another one. Just my experience.

Marvin as long as your happy with it. It was alot of work , they just don't make forms for hogs like that , so its all custom.  Being a dog hunter myself I know the meaning of a good dog and it was an honor to have mounted the hog in memory of ole UNO! All thats missing is a framed picture of ole UNO under the mount.

It was hot!! We had a good time and caught 3 but I was good after the first one. The dogs didn't want to quit and by the time we made to the third one I'd really had enough. Marvins dog just didn't want to stop he had another one bayed after the third one but I think he was as hot as we were and Marvin was able to catch him.

Circle C I am getting to old to be out there in the heat of the day. We didn't strike the first pig until 11am. You know how it is when you have people in town and want to put'em on a hog. It was that,  lets try this one more spot before we go and all heck breaks loose. I was satisfied with one. LOL

They use them quite a bit in Argentina. They cross them with dogos and pits over there.
