HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: couple from yesterdays hunt

Thanks. Had a couple more pups that were in on the races but was kinda in a bind by myself getting all the dogs and hog tied up waiting on my buddy to come around with the truck to get pics of them all. I had my garmin so me and the bulldog was able to half way keep up with them on foot. We covered alot of ground and Ace, the cur pup, ran that last out in front of me twice and it was very tempting to let the bulldog go then but I have learned that being patient sometimes saves you a whole lot of time and heartache!

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / couple from yesterdays hunt

Finally got on a couple that didn't feel like running to the next county! My parker cur pup. I am going to give him 90% of the credit on finding the second sow. My older plot was in there with him but the young dog started it. He is just over six months now so I have high hopes for him. This little pit is impressing me every time I turn her loose to the bay. This first one we caught was slam full of pigs.

THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Odis Weems hunting stock cross

1/2 Bluetick and 1/2 catahoula. Puppies born September 4th. Dam is registered blue tick of Odis's daughters. Sire is cross of his old hunting stock that goes way back and is well known all over, and his catahoula baying stock. This is a first time cross and believe me you don't want to miss out on these pups. This kind of cross is where those once in a life time dogs come from. I just got back from picking mine up and here are some pictures. I will try and get a better one of the cur to post on here, it was getting dark. These pups are located near Texarkana Ar./TX. and you can call 903-826-0971. Puppies Bluetick Cur

Zeus, beer drinking buddy, tresspasser's worst nightmare, and hog catching machine. I will try to get some better pics of him later but here he is. This is him right at a year old with a dogoxpit puppy that I had picked up. Only other one I could find of him on here.

I have had one for about 2yrs now and am very impressed. I was worryied about him not having the heart or the jaw that my pits do. I had nothing to worry about. He hates a hog and will catch until you break him off, has a head full of sense, and definitly puts my worryies to ease when I am working graveyards and my wife and daughter are home alone . I have been leaving him on the chain the last few hunts and just carrying my little pit cause I sure hate to loose him but I think I hurt him more doing that. My wife said he just sits there and howls the WHOLE time I am gone.

He's almost got it down pat. Big boar that did some damage, but couldn't shake my big dog. Another big barr that I messed around and got on by myself. Lot of lessons learned on that hunt! Not really sure about the whole riding on the wheeler thing yet.

A few pics of some of the pigs from the first half of the year. Second half of year has been pretty crazy with having a baby and been stuck on straight graveyards for about 3 months or so working a shutdown. There hasn't been much time in the woods but I plan to make up for that! Also some pics of the pack I am trying to get going. This was a 260lbs barr that we caught that had been tearing up the best looking hay meadow you have ever seen. Landowner sure was happy to see this one go. These are my two catch dogs, Fate the little pit and Zeus the corso These are the new ones Ace 3/4 parker cur, Tuff half cat half airedale, and Bell plott
