Thank you all for your opinions. I'm trying to do my research on both locations, this is part of it. If I'm moving somewhere I want it to be a step up, and being able to run the dogs on hogs is one big plus for the move! I agree with several of you I definitely could NOT live inside the city of Dallas, I would probably off someone haha! I am looking for places outside the city in one of the outlaying towns, on no less than a few acres of land.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Moving, opinions welcome!

Looks like I may have a chance to move down to Tx sometime in the next few months to a year from a hogless northern state, that also has very few dog events. Current areas that are possibilities are in the Denton/Dallas area or down in San Antonio. Figured I would ask ya'lls opinions on the locations. Which area do ya guys think is better? Better to live, to run dogs, easier to get to/more dog events and hunting, and just general life. lol I'll appreciate any thoughts or opinions on this!

Ah man I'm so sorry to hear that! I haven't been around long but long enough to have heard several stories about him. He sounds like one of those once in a lifetime dog. Sorry for your loss.

HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Takin a trip...
|

Takin a trip down to Williamson County Tx more specifically the Hutto area from the Pacific Northwest in mid November. I know that is quite a ways off but figured I'd start lookin now! Would love to go out and see a hunt, or even watch some dogs work a pen. It's rare I get to see anything close to dogs working hogs up here so I'll take whatever I can get! Anyone interested in letting me come along? Depending on time and money may be willing to travel quite a bit if needed. I'll also have a dog with me on the trip I'd really like to see catch but that is quite optional and leaving him at the hotel isn't a problem. Thanks!
