I feed a 100% raw diet to my three dogs, a Lacy, a Golden Retriever, and a Pit. I started about 6-8 months ago and I have never owned healthier dogs. I will always be a 100% raw feeder.

A couple of months ago I bought this to use until I could get my kennel built. Well the kennel is done and I don't need it anymore. I paid $179.99 for the receiver, wire, and one collar and another $69.99 for the extra collar. I will let it all go for $200.00. I still have about 90% of the wire (which started at 500ft) the instructions, and the box. This is a good system and works well I just don't need it anymore. I am located in Santa Fe and can ship it for an additional cost if you are too far. I accept PayPal and good ole' cash.

I seem to remember someone on here saying they use equine Safeguard on their dogs. If so how much do you give them?
Thanks

Ok it has been 8 weeks and this diet is awesome. My dogs are all so much healthier and have tons more energy. They all look good, are not overweight anymore, and my Golden's skin allergy has disappeared! Thanks, this is the standard around my place from now on.

THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Golden Retriever-full blooded - 8 months old - Good for bird hunting.

I am using my husband's account. I have a full blooded light Golden Retriever for sale. Hunter is almost 8 months old and already a big dog. He does have papers to register him AKC, with full registration in case you would like to breed him when he gets older. He was given first two rounds of shots, but needs follow ups. He is extremely smart and learns fast. Does know sit, but is a little rusty on heel, stay, and come. (I haven't been able to work with him much lately). He does retrieve, and he does water retrieve. He will swim until you make him get out of the water he loves it so much. He has a soft mouth if wanting him for bird hunting, a great nose, and natural pattern tracking. Excellent prospect for competition. He has an amazing launch into the water. I have trained a few dogs, and he has a lot of potential. I do want him to go to a family who is going to utilize his skills. He was purchased as a gift for our son, but our son is now wanting to get into hog hunting pretty heavy. I just don't have the time to train yet another dog right now. I am training my own, and now assisting with our hog dog. My specialty is behavior training. Just a little bit of time working with him will get him where he needs to be. We are asking $300 for him. We paid $350. He is a beautiful and sweet dog. He has been around kids and other dogs, and is just a big play buddy. He is after all still a puppy. He was on Beneful up until a little over a month ago. We started all of our dogs on the raw diet. It makes a BIG BIG difference in your dog! If interested please just email me at karipowers76@gmail.com telling me about yourself, your family, and your what your intentions are if you get him. I will email you back. I would like for you to come out and meet us and him, so you can see if he is right for you. I am trying to get his pics in here, but they are to big to up load. Until I figure out how to downsize them, if you would like to see, just shoot me an email asking to see pics. I have one of him walking around, and another of him launching into our pool. Thanks for looking. Kari

Went back out and checked the trap yesterday morning and had this boar and shoat in it, 80-100 lbs each. They sure likes the apple corn with an old bag of walnuts mixed in. Richard (HBR) and Josh (Swampdonkey) came and drug them out of the trap and tied them. Gonna make some pan sausage!

GENERAL CATEGORY / HUNTING AND FISHING / Happy Birthday To Me!

Last weekend I took my oldest to baseball practice which is pretty close to an area that I know there to be a bunch of pigs. In passing I asked the coaches wife if they ever have problems with the pigs tearing up their yard or hay meadows and she said that they have lived there over 4 years and had never had any problems. Well this Saturday I took him to practice and she said I jinxed them....she took me out back and their whole yard was torn up, luckily they spared the baseball diamond. They told me to do whatever I needed to do to get rid of them. Well it is only 20 acres so running dogs is out of the question. I put out some corn and had a buddy of mine bring over a trap. Well here was my 30th birthday present the next morning, two boar hogs about 80-100 lbs. They both had pretty bad attitudes but the ole .45 adjusted it. They are at a friends being made into tamales, cant wait for those to get done. We sat out there that night and saw a couple of good size pigs but never could get a shot, maybe tonight we will get one.

I'm on it!
Black Gold, HOLY CRAP, literally. You were not lying about the most vile diarrhea but I believe you, and am sticking with it. My boys are loving it, they had calf liver and ribs today, and I can already see an improvement.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Colt M4 Raffle

Hey guys, If anyone is interested we are raffling off a brand new Colt M4 Carbine model 6920 (.223) for $10.00 a chance. This is a benefit for a friend of mine who went in for "routine" surgery on December 29th and to make a long story short the doctors messed up and cause him to become septic. He was in the hospital/rehab facility until February 28th. He is a small business owner and had COBRA insurance from his previous job, however it ran out on Feb. 1st. The rehab facility was a little over $5k a day ($90,000.00) out of pocket plus all of the medication he is still having to purchase. If you would like to purchase a ticket I am in Santa Fe, near Galveston, PM me and we can make arrangements.
Thanks Robert

After reading this I did a bunch of reading and talked to my vet and as of yesterday my dogs are on an all raw diet. I started with some big beef ribs that were day old at the butcher shop and they annihilated them. Today they got chicken leg quarters and my adult Golden Retriever was not too sure but once he got a taste he tore it up, the other dogs were not in the least bit hesitant. Thanks for all of the advice and I am sure my dogs would thank you too.
