He's just a few weeks old but I had pick of the litter and he's shoving the others off the tit so I figured he'll be tough. haha. I'll probably just get him a vest and collar once he's old enough to get after it. That way if the hog is wounded and he catches him, the hunter will get a good adrenaline rush at least. lol

When can I put him in a pen with a pig? What size should the pig be? And is there a way I can train him to just bay or do you just let the dog use his instincts and work around him?

Do you think that is a good cross of dogs. American bulldog/Red Tick Hound. The RedTick is the momma and she can run a trail like crazy but the bulldog dad is just a goofy dog. lol

Alright guys I'm on the other end of the hunt from most of you. I'm an outfitter and I just got a new pup (american bulldog/redtick hound.) I've trained jack russells to track wounded/dead game before but have had zero experience with the new breed I have. Do any of you guys have suggestions on how to start this dog or do you think I should just do everything the same that I do with the Jacks. PS the reason I got this little guy was because although the Jacks are go getters, they don't do to well with wounded boars lol.
