Hobo isn't the brother to Colby's high tan. His ear was torn while the brand was scabbed up and wound up staying that way. Two of my lemon colored dogs had trouble with the brands, the rest did fine. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

The reason justin has only seen our abs be walked right in close to a bay is we care if our dogs get wrecked. Sending a cd in from 50-100 yards is just asking for heat stroke or for stuff to get wrecked. How many times have you been headed in and hit a wall of briars or such that you have had to crawl through. I see people loose cd just about every week and it is just about always from sending them in from way out. If my ab could hear a bay a mile away i could send him from a mile away. Lol

To keep up with these hounds you gotta have two. These dogs will have one garmin short circuiting. Naw, Danny's axle dog was not doing good and i grabbed his garmin so we didn't loose it. Danny's dog didn't make it... He was really becoming a good dog too.

Had an incident with a wheeler and riding double. We were coming back through the same ditch we had went through a few hrs earlier, but didnt cross in the exact same spot. Instead of me getting off, which i started to but the driver said no need, i stayed on. He proceeded into the ditch, which wasnt real deep (bout 3' deep and 3' across) but deeper than we thought. He accelerates going in and as we hit the other bank, the wheeler flips on its back with both of us pinned under it and under water. Luckily 3 other guys were on the other side waiting for us and it wasnt but a few sec under water (cold ass water on top of that) and the wheeler was off us and being drug on to the bank. The driver and i jumped out of the water and climbed out. I guess the moral to this is, go with your first instinct when u think some bad may go wrong, and any time crossing a water source of unknown depth and riding double, the pax should get off and let the driver go at it alone. In our circcumstance, if nobody eles would hav been there, we might have drowned, but if i would have gotten off, the wheeler wouldnt have had a severe aft cg and the driver could htave possibly made it uwpppy yy the accident that KevinN went through I thought it would be a good idea to share some of ours...not just near misses but accidents as well when hunting...
I have had a few near misses driving off in a deep canal with my 4 wheeler...actually twice but didn't get hurt on either...
another time it was pitch dark about 11 pm...the dogs had caught a good sized boar and the hog went for a swim in the Brazos river...the dogs got him back to the bank and we caught him...we decided to leave him there on account the bank was very steep and probably about ~18 ft down...we called the dogs off and they came up the bank and we started back to the wheelers...one of my young pups stayed baying the dead hog...I thought for a minute and decided to get the pup now and not come back later for him...
I got back close to the bank so I thought...found myself a nice piece of a wood and the plan was to hurl it into the water as I hollered at the pup to get out...to really get that branch into the water I took a big step forward to propel it out into the water...I fully was expecting to step on firm ground but instead I went straight down...I am a pretty good thinker in the middle of things when they go bad...but pitch dark and not knowing what was below did not allow for any type of maneuvering...luckily I landed on my back down below and it was somewhat muddy sand...I did get a severe headache and I just thank the good lord I didn't break my back or neck in the deal...
I have heard of severe accidents where folks have been killed or hurt pretty bad on 4 wheelers...anyone have some first hand experiences we can learn from?

If i could find a silent cur with the drive and nose of my hounds i would feed it. I always think of it like this, you cant bay them if you cant find them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk

Only a completely silent dog can bay a hog unless the hog is old and crippled.

Cantexduck... What do you think? I have three ugly dog gladiator titans that fit right and work great. I just wanted to try a 4r because i have heard good things about them. It was my buck fifty to spend so i spent it. So like i said what do you think?

The leg holes on my 4r vest were made too small for the bulldog i measured. I am having to run the vest on my smaller bulldog. The chin flap on the vest is too thin and flips down on the chest really easy. The leg flaps did not protect the front of the legs at all (this is where my dogs typically get hit).. I sent the vest back for some mods including adding a small leg flap over the front of the legs. When i got it back i was pretty disappointed, the new flaps didnt over lap like i had intended. So there is still a gap in the front of the leg that can get hit. Other than that the vest seems fine. Lmao...

I would like to see someone walk behind these dogs.. Lol.. Cajun i really dont know the facts on lady. She was supposedly bought from an old mountain man in the mountains of northern Oklahoma. She is supposed to be a plott cur cross.. I was told the old man had a yard full of bear hounds and hog dogs??? Lived up in the mountains with no phone, you had to contact him through the feed store.
