all dogs die but how many get to really live the way they where bread to, he was lucky to have a owner like you who let him hunt and run with a pack of other dogs the way the good loard intended them to do he prabibally lived 10 lives of the average house dog, dont find a new hobby these real hog dogs need people like you to save them from a meaningless life and put them to work. If Clifford died 5 years ago he would have been more satisfied than the average dog with his life of meaning and purpose.RIP Clifford

a pit hase a few hundread years of proven exp over a dogo, where do dogos originate from, I think they are just from a bull dog that someone got a hold of in some other country mixed some other dogs into and came up with a name for when the origional bull dog is what makes them worth a shi#t, but i really dont know but they sure look like a bulldog x some other big dog.

the stankiest boars ive had where the smaller ones in the 75 to100# range but have eaten many bigger boars that have tasted fine, if it stinks when you kill it it will stink in the pot. Some times i can smell boar in store bought pork and cant eat it when people who dont know any diffrent dont notice it , i can smell a stank boar a mile away yall eat up

i like a good ruff cur too its just that the last couple ive had werent gritty enough and dident get that hog crazy battle to death attitude i love in a pit, and the prob was they could find em better but would runem off and come back after a while, when the pitxs may take longer to find or not range out as far to find but the ones they do find are caught, maby i just havnt had luck with the ones ive got a hold of lateley and the best dogs ive ever hunted behind where good curs that could find and bay a hog all night but i think them dogs are alot harder to come by,and most pitxs or just good athletic pits 30-60# will catch you some hogs if they are fresh in area.

I wish curs would have the drive of pits. I know some do but have you noticed that is more unusual for a pit to not show interest in a hog than to catch or atleast bark at hog I have seen few that will not. But on The otherhand I have seen lots of curs that take a while to catch on or show no interest in hog.I guess that is why a good strike dog goes for alot more than a good catch dog. If you where just getting startin hunting i would go with a pit x because you are prabibally more likeley to come up with a dog that will do something than just run hogs off unless you get lucky with a good cur that will hold and bay a hog. Dont get me wrong i love a good loose baying dog that will stay with a hog for a long time and would love to have some, but with a pitx you can start catching hogs easier until you get them curs going, just looking for others opps.
