Going through the pics, it looks like your buddy had to get down off the barrel. Very good pics. Thanks for sharing.

Yep, that sow was a rough and lean sucker. She knew how to fight. Grin

I know where you are coming from. I've had to get off a barrel and stradle a T-post a time or two. There is just something about those hackle backed sows that will make you move.

To me a mulefooted hog in a pasture or pen, is no diffrent than a 4-H or FFA hamp in a pen. Ownership is ownership. If they shot over a place they didn't have permission and damage the property he owns, they need to make resitution to the land owner. It is no diffrent if it was cows, sheep or anything else. Wrong is wrong. The hard part is proving it. No tracks, don't help any. I would be 10 diffrent kinds of pissed, if it were me in that position.

Just do what I do. Get the ones you want for hunting and let the wife and kids get the house dogs they want. Last but not least, go get a second job to feed them all. Grin

Most males I've been around have nasty habits. Pee on this, start a scruff over here, go back and pee over there again because another male covered it. The only male I have now has no low ones because, he will never breed and he doesn't need to be thinking about it. My females will disagree at times but not to the death like some of the males I've had in the past. Some of my best dogs have been lost to fights, it's not worth it to me. just my .02

14  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Night hunting ? on: October 03, 2010, 10:09:23 pm
When hunting at night, how do you know when your dog or dogs are running trash?  We have a few trash races every now and then, during the daylight. Even during the day, I want to see them running the trash before I press the button on the tri tronics. It seems like it would be hard, to know for sure at night.

17  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: catch dog catching dogs HELP on: September 30, 2010, 10:11:27 pm
I wouldn't put up with it from either one. It's your friends dog starting the trouble, but from what you say, he isn't the one laying teeth first. My old male will loose his life before he'll fight back and that's something I really like about him. It's real easy to find the problem that way. Sometimes you have to ask yourself just how good of a friend they are, and put the boots to both of them.

I've also heard of using wd40. By now you are probaly using something that will work, but it never hurts to know more.

Scarlet oil twice a day for about 3 days. You can find it at just about any feed store. Also great on cuts.

Prolapse. That explains what's hanging off of it hind end. I should've worked "prolapsed" some how in that reply it probaly would have been funnier.
