We found a Hog dog with a tracking collar. The Guy/Gal name is Jess Duncan. The dog has a name tag with number but no answer. If anyone knows or runs with this person please let us know

That's what I was thinking about doing Ruben. I just didn't want the pups to be straight bay pen. Thats why I wanted to ask some other ways to train. I thank you all for your comments. Hope I can find a pig now pretty soon. Want to start showing them one before they get to big.

Anyone going to Callaways this weekend?

We have some 3 pups that are from our good female and a help dog male. We are wanting to start them on a hog but not sure if we should hobble a hog and let them run it or start them in a pen to see if they have the want to like the mom and dad. They work together as a team. Reason I say that is because they bay my cat up and stay baying till I go outside and get the cat and have to run them back to momma dog.  Got any suggestion? We have started pups before in pen but they were about 10 months old. I would like to get these pups started now. See that makes a difference.

We are looking for a finished dog that is finding hogs, honors bay, can wind from truck, no trash, and ranges pretty good.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We went hunting tonight. Luckily NO SKUNK! But no hog either. They found a dillo and a coon tonight. I agree with them being bored and not having SOMETHING to play with out there. Hopefully next time will produce a hog! I also think we need to find another lead dog! Ours arent hunting like they used too. Oh well we will see next trip then decide.

We have went hunting 4 times in 2 weeks, can't get a break. Our finished dogs go out and hunt but not hogs now! Now they go looking for skunks! What can I do to get my dogs to stop catching/baying skunks?!? I am tired of smelling them and tomatoes! This has gotten crazy. Any advice will help!

We are going to add on to our house and ino lumber. Doesn't matter the size. We would like to get good used lumber for a cheap price and free would even be better. I have a couple pups and one CD for free! Pups are started in pen and doing pretty good so far.

CD has been in a pen 2 times and caught both times. IMO he will be a good one to have with more training.

He isn't "swaying" as bad anymore and he hasn't been scratching at his ears. So I am guessing that was the problem. He is actually able to play with the kids and dogs without falling over now. He is able to keep his balance alot better. My guess that it was an ear problem now. Gonna give it another week or so and then take him to the pen and see what happens.

Congrats on the dogs and robbers! Glad you got your dogs back and glad you got to prove a point to them thieves.

That is what I thought he may have had but he isnt having siezures. We had a dog like that before. This one is alot different. Sometimes I wonder if he has a inner ear infection. You know how we feel off balance when we get one? Maybe he is doing the same thing? May have to take him in to Vet.

He hasnt been hunting in over 3 months now.  He did get a bad cut about a year go. It was on his neck but this just started a month ago.

I checked him for ticks, mites, fleas and any other kind of bug and found none so far. We just treated for fleas and ticks 4 days before I posted this question.

He is still swaying some. It seems like the more he gets hyped up the more he does it. The kids can go pet or play with him and he will do it. Even if another dog or pup goes over there he will start doing it more.
