Lost a great up and coming hog finding machine had more drive and willingness to finish a track than any dog I ever owned. Got on bad runner kept baying and breaking about mile into chase got within 100 yrds of bay and broke again for about fourth time but this time Monster stayed in place, bayed again about 200 hundred yards trying to get to it broke again decided to go back and find Monster hoping to just find he had just lost his garmin tracked back to him and he was already dead had small poke in his ham must have got his major artery just very unlucky. He would have been two in Feb. Other dogs bayed hog again about 1/4 mile away got thirty yards away cut bulldogs loose hog broke again was in a bad blood weed patch never got him stopped again. Sure hope Monsters brother and sister step up they are fair just not as mature as he was.

I know this goes in the dog doctor section but I am needing a large number of opinions and this is the place to go to get eyes on the subject.

I have a pup that was born on May 6th that has me puzzled.  When they were 2-3 weeks old they whole litter had a bout with Coccidiosis and I hit them with albon and it cleared right up.  About 9 weeks of age I had gotten rid of all the pups but her and her sister and she started having a loose stool and losing a little weight.  I hit her with albon again but nothing.  After a few days I carried her to the vet and they ran a battery test and the only thing that showed was Coccidosis and they told me to continue albon for 14 days.  I did that and the whole time she has not made a turd.  I have fed her raw meat which she loves and continue to do so.  She has a good appetite, drinks water well and has energy ad the desire to go like I really wan to see in a pup but she looks like hell to put it mildly!  She will be 13 weeks old on thursday and I am at a loss.  I love the pup and how she acts but I don't know what to do for her and I cant help but think this is going to lead to something else she wont be able to shake and death.  Anyone ever dealt with this or something similar?

Has anyone used this vest? I hunted with a guy the other night and he had this vest and I kinda liked the looks of it but dont know how well its made and all. Looks like it would be a little cooler in the summer months.

when do you cull a catch dog? do you cull if it bays one of the biggest baddest hogs you have seen? bays once its hurt? if a hog gets away from it once its caught?....  now i dont expect anyone to get rid of their best cd until it has a replacement so lets say it bays a big nasty one night in some thick stuff after getting cut and thrown in the air... whats your call?

hey i was wondering if anyone out there has heard of a rocky mountain cur i got a good looking black cur the other day an the guy told me that he was a rocky mountain cur i have never heard of one

so i was having a little trouble shuting these running sob's dwn but thanks to some help from a handfull of members im catching them again ! first time after help we hit a river bottom and about 45 min hunting we hit a pack and killed two sows  dressed the bigger one at the river but ended up keeping them both and thy made some damn good eating lol , 2nd time we hit a boar in a tank one pic of the dogs still on him the brindle dog ended up dying 4 days later from some nasty hits to the lungs , the 3rd  hunt  was same place same tank the next day thy were about the same size . and the last hog was 2 nights ago hit him in a thicket and he ran about 40yrds till one of my rcds ripped  his sack out i say he went 200 -210  we tied him and is now in my pin i dnt have pics of him but ill post them tomorrow! in all it was a fun week and felt good to get em stopped againg thanks for yalls help ...

Another post got me thinking and i know a lot of you are not hunting right now.  I do a lot of hunting for local farmers and ranches.  Now where i am from there is an abundance of hog doggers around the area.  I don't think most of the places i run for would seek someone else to run there places when most of the places i run are family or just about family.  However, I hunt every place i can every chance i can becuase i do worry that if i don't do what i can to help them out i would lose those places, and if there having problems i can't say i would blame them.  Am i the only one that worries with this.  I don't have contract with all of my places just becuase I trust them and they trust me, but i know if i were to ever stop running there is plenty of people in line to run my places.  It is super Hot and i pride my dogs in being in shape and being able to get it done no matter how hot or cold it is, so it doesn't bother me too much.  Now me i would never go behind anyone not even my worst enemy to take over one of there places i just think it's wrong, but i don't think every hog doggers has the same mentality.   

so do yall hunt at night r early in the morning

my best dog possum struck her last boar last night.  She was a dang good dog found me lots of hogs in her years with me she will be greatly missed
