Also have 8 month old purebred pit. Real Good head on him. Kind of a lighter made athletic type dog. Havent hardly messed with him. Probably needs to go to somebody that knows how to handle gamebred type pits.

IDknow. Not trying to change the subject but I thought I heard somewhere that governor's husband was some bigwig with something agriculture and that's big part of these laws being enforced more. And especially the one they changed where they don't have to let you get you're dog off there property. I don't know how true it is. But I think one of my buddies that's a coonhunter told me this.

Ill say this much a good cat dogs brings a whole lot more money than a good hogdog. I used to have a Redbone that would tree bobcats. Once he treed one I never hog hunted him again he was barely started anyway. I wished I would have though. Some @$$h0lE shot him. I absolutely loved that dog.

Im a mud engineer.   But I work around mud loggers.  I think the hardest part of that job is just having to stay out there.  I don't know how all of them are but everyone I've seen stays out there from the curve to td without rotating.

I've heard that Vaughn and Henry plott would not refer to plotts as hounds. But I think plotts are more consistent

18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: 45 Long Colt for hogs on: September 29, 2011, 11:12:11 am
I ve got a uberti, havent looked real hard for different ammo. most what see are  like the more primitive looking cowboy loads. The cowboy loads dont seem real accurate to me.  I did buy some of those lever revolutions the other day they looked to be of higher quality, Then most of what I see. My pistol is like a Colt replica. Im not sure how hot a round you can shoot out of it though.
19  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / 45 Long Colt for hogs on: September 27, 2011, 11:40:53 pm
Has anybody used a 45 long colt round on hogs i have one and only used it twice. they were both head shots though. wandering how they would fair if shot them in a different place. ive had a couple people tell me they dont have much knockdown power.
