I've got one and love it, nice being able to do corrections besides tracking, great for trash breaking, etc I like being able to give a beep also, if you use a tone before stimulation in training, don't need to use the stimulation later, just the tone.. But you're right, $799 since they are newly on the market and and extra $299 for additional collars.

My parents had one when I was growing up, I remember it was fairly aggressive, however I have a friend with two of them, both great dogs, neither is mean, both dog and people friendly.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: ear croppin

As for laser surgery, I've rad good and bad. My vet actually modified hemostats for different types of crops, he just clamps them on, they are curved perfectly, then takes a scalpel and in a matter of seconds it is over. Tree huggers believe it is painfull to the dogo, but I believe there is very little pain, my dog likes to sleep on his back, and I have pictures from the first night, with his ears taped, with a collar, sleeping on his back on his ears. I believe in cropping the Dogo's ears, it is part of the original breed standard, the idea is like when a Dogo grabs a hogs ear, if you crop the ears on a Dogo, the hog can't grab it's ears as easy. It's hard to find a vet here, but I know one, he used to do a bunch of cropping, but there isn't many Dogo's here, but I went with a show crop, and my pup is now 4 months old, he turns those ears like you wouldn't believe to listen to everything, he can turn them 180 degrees almost.

Jared , I think one of the guys said a "Rage" .. is all i remeber .. Mac just got out of Surgery , spilt his bottom jaw in half . had to remove some teeth and remove a peice of jaw , but he will be ok.
yep, thats a Rage, POS, ok on animals with thin bones, but that big cut is too large to go through thicker bone and the blade on the tip will also fold over, i know it did it on an elk I shot Hope Mac heals up well, one tough pooch thats for sure
