How much land do you need to train pups

Hey yall. I've been offline and out of hunting for a while but I'm looking to restart a pack and find a new place to hunt. I live in splendora tx which is about 30 mins north of houston. I've been looking for leases that allow hog dogs but have had no luck. I would appreciate any feed back on some good pups or a place to hunt. I would prefer to find a place to hunt first.

I recently bought a dog from a guy and he said that he is full catahoula. Now I dont have much experiance with these dogs, except my wifes cat and she is about 55-60lbs. My only problem is the dog is more like 40-45lbs and he is 3yrs old. I was just wondering if different bloodlines of the cat are bigger/smaller dogs, or if this dog is some kind of cross?

Old indian trick , pile a bit of leaves near the pups and get it on fire, the first pup the mom grabs to move is the best pup of the litter

1st I have a 6yr old bmc/rr gyp that is as gritty as they come she is my lead dog she dosent have the best finding abilities but once she is on one she is there I'm asking $300 for her

2nd I have a 4yr old cat gyp that is very similar to the gyp above also asking $300

3rd is a 1 1/2 male cat/bird dog I haven't had him on any pigs in the woods but in the pen he is pretty loose unless its 100lbs or less then he catches out asking $150 for him

4th is my catch dog she is a 3yr old pit that is super fast and hits hard I would like $150 for her as well

They will be 5 weeks Sunday should I just separate them from the mom and feed them by their selfs?

I will back my gyp had some pups she had two I thought was a lil strange but I know it's quite possible but my question is about feeding she won't ever let the pups nurse and when I feed her if her pups get to close she snaps at them I'm concerened for the pups safety is there anything I can do to make her feed them or does anyone have a clue as to why she is food aggressive to her own pups?
