MAN--- let me tell yall a little story about sharting. I had one them x-rays done that checks your esophagus, they make you drink this chalky pink drink that’s flat out NASTY one cup is fine I can get that done, even two or three if need be, BUT the son of a gun wasn’t getting the image he wanted to I ended up drinking a whole liter of this stuff, they make you go on an empty stomach so that’s ALL I had n me--- The tech FINALLY got his image and I get dressed and head out for home--- NOW this was back in the days when I smoked and I had run out so I stopped at 7-11 for a pack of cigarettes as I wait in like I don’t know what the hell happened but all I can feel was warm something coming down my leg--- I gave the lady $10 and ran out as fast as I could without even waiting for change--- YEP it ALL went in the garbage, skippies, pants, sock and tennis shoes. THAT WAS embarrassing O

You get what you pay for. If you pay bottom dollar more then likely you'll get a crappy bred dogo. You pay high dollar you'll get a good bred dogo. Just like any other breed.
This is a huge problem with dogo "breeders" and it is a total crock of number 2. This is the exact reason I only buy dogs from hunters not breeders. My female dogo is the only dog I have that is not from a hunter, but her sire is also one of five Grand Champion Hunting dogos in the world. She was sent to me for FREE by a man up north, hints her nick name "yankee dog", who does not have the opportunity to prove his lines, and she is really turning it on. Its not always, get what you pay for, sometimes its "get what you work for" and this is the case with this particular dog, sometimes actually putting dogs to work and proving them goes farther than people think, and I know I am not the only person on here that has been blessed in this way. So many breeders want to buy champion dog show this and champion dog show that and breed them when they really have no idea what the heck they are doing when it comes to producing consistent dogs. Rest my case--- you dont need a ton of money to get ay good one--- matter fact the goods ones cant be sold for no ammount of money---- from my expirience they get handed down to GOOD people who have the brains to work them--- GOOD JOB Taylor.

It is a county by county deal. The breed restriction on bulldogs is mostly Miami area...Dade county I believe.
Correct, Florida has a BAN on breed restrictions in place, HOW EVER ---Miami-Dade outlawed pit bulls in 1989, a year before the Florida Legislature passed a law banning all breed-specific dog laws.

Sorry guys---I usually stay OUT of the fray--- I come here to learn, share and see some nice dogs and this is a GREAT group of guys and gals.
I have learned to stay OFF some folks post and threads all together because of this---
IF one doesn’t KNOW all the details of a certain EVENT then either ---ASK--- or keep your opinions to one self UNTIL the details are revealed--- before you go jumping in on someone’s back make sure you actually KNOW what went on--- I do not believe a young pup can be CULLED for a first offence ESPECIALLY if the offense is; 1. Geared towards a positive outcome. 2. Easily fixable by training.

Thank Purebreedcolt, I been nipped a few times by a few GREEN dogs, like I wrote it was her FIRST hog and she wanted it BAD, it takes schooling with some I have no problem with it as long as once they are schooled it doesn’t happen again or make a habit of it, accidents happen they have teeth and they have drive. Its been a while BUT I compare it to a bar fight, some guys just loose it and when their buddys come to break them up they swing---they didnt mean to swing at their friends BUT they where caught in teh heat of the moment--- I DO NOT accept it as something that should happen or should be taken lightly, BUT it didnt come from an expirienced animal, she was as green as they get at the time.
On a green dog I see it no different than educating them on all other things to me it’s all part of the fun.
I rather see EXTREME drive then none at all; I find it easy to work a dog that has it in abundance then one that doesn’t at all. This bitch in particular hit the hog SO HARD she flipped herself right over it and shock it off and caught it again---I have a daughter of hers that done the same at 7 months.

This is a frustration nip ---she wanted BAD back at that hog as he was legged already and a "friend" was holding her back, this was on her first hog; This one was when you get complacent in breaking a dog skuffle; I have one more---

This one I sent to Texas she now lives with Jacob Sanchez in Poth Tx; This crazy bitch stayed VERY close to me--- her owner aint right in the head though---he has a Mellon head; Bonny and Clyde (RIP) JinSi Bella and Nash (Baton Rouge LA) There are quite a few more out there, need look through my albums. I will say this just like not every person should own a dog not every hunter has the ability to work with them, I have always wondered why is it that the success rate is so much hire with some hunters then with others? (Rhetorical question). Marvin for example has a way with them like few folks I know, Noah seems to have the same handle, my friends Bam and Amy from Ohio, Herchiel in LA, Mike Christman, Daniel and these are just people I KNOW personally and/or have seen them work a Dogo ---it takes something and it is NOT money to raise a good one, I do NOT believe money makes the dog ---careful selection does (of OWNER and dog)--- At the end of the day we ALL do what makes us happy and for some of us it is about the enjoyment we get out of our dogs--- I much rather be arnd a dog then most humans 90% of the time--- and it’s a shame we allow our dogs to carry OUR egos--- it’s a big weight to pack sometimes--- in any event yall have fun as someone said 99% of us do this for fun---we don’t HAVE to do so--- at times its cheaper to just go to wallyworld and buy pork, BUT there is a certain PRIDE in being able to KNOW how to do things, to KNOW HOW TO FEND for oneself . EVERYTIME Dogo come up we get Loooong threads and most folks are fun and I know mean to be funny, BUT others do take it to a very personal level --- IF you don’t like Dogos then GOOD, keep with what you like no one is twisting your arm to own or LIKE them ---BUT don’t disrespect others for their preference--- after all we are all in it together in one way or another, I think things like defending our rights to bear arms, or HUNT with our dogs is way more important then what breed of dog we hate or LOVE. Respectfully.

Here some videos I fnd from Puerto Rico (sorry they are in Spanish) it’s a three part series the second one or part 2 has some stuff on conditioning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BrZriNzfpghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOS0ewWQ74ghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mbbNvh0CbgPlease remember that this is national sport in Puerto Rico, 100% legal, the pits are government run and strictly regulated by the department of sport and recreations. Any questions on the Videos I can translate for yall. Talked to a few ol-friends and it seems roosters in Caribbean tend to be smaller and faster than those in England, North America and the Philippians. I guess they also believe it’s a test of endurance and stamina as well hence they like naturals. Lost of Videos on youtube on training and lots of actual matches.
