1 HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: For you Alfa or Garmin gurus on: June 21, 2017, 12:34:29 pm
You can come on up to the northern Hillcountry and get all you want slim but make shure you want what you get!. That's a pretty good race you had there sir. We spent a few nights staring at the old garmin with uncle JP and peach haven't we cousin mike?. These sob's up here run like deer and swim like fish. And these hills would make the man from snowy river sh...... His pants.

I guess I'm going to have to get her a bay vest. I hate those things they always get hung up in the heart cedar and I have to climb the mountain and get her ass un hung and when I get back to truck she will be hung up two canyons over and on and on . She has a lot of potential if she doesn't back up I will sell her to my buddy down south that runs a little rougher dog then I do. I don't want to but her baying to tight and trying to catch is probly why rambler is out for 3 months if he ever comes back and I can't take her getting the rest of the crew mowed down by not setteling in on the bay and trying to push things.

Another donk! Another trip to vet!. My bailie gip got ship wrecked agin. This gip is killing me! She does things just to piss me off and then she hunts her ass off. I've threten to give her blue eyes a couple of times but she just keeps reeling in the hogs. She is going to back up or pay the piper she just won't get it through her hard head. That's 4 times in 2 years barely missed aorta , broke rip and ruptured diaphragm.

I know it's hard but look below each collar and not at the deer antlers and you will see a hole. Cords and power bar out of sight.

Dogs found both of them. The left one is 324 inches and the other is 237 inches . All my rafters are full of them in my shop.

9 HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Born on the mountain and raised in a cave!. on: January 29, 2017, 02:38:56 pm
The Hillcountry is a really tuff place to hunt. Starting pups here is really difficult they either get kicked out of the race or you can't get onto anything but boars so I just keep throwing them back in the race and sewing them up and hopeing I can get em to make dogs and still alive at 3 years old. I get so frustrated but I have to remember where I'm hunting . I would rather hunt on a mountain that would make the man from snowey river crap his pants then in a swamp or rose hedge thicket any day.

When I got there I seen my Bailey gip covers in blood poked in the guts that's the third time in two years, got down to him and he broke and the race was on! He was going back to his side of the mountain were he belonged. Chace and I looked for my gip and I thought she was hung up in the brush but she was gone. When I got to the truck and looked at my garmin they were lighting his ass up right at a mile. Looked for her on screen and no Bailey ! Zoomed in and there she was in the stack. At1.4 I heard ole rambler go woo woo wo and he was parked. When I got close and parked stepped
Out and nothing reached for garmin and faintly heard them crap! I knew they were deep in a cave. Heard him charge several times and back back into cave. Came in from the top and nothing , I saw rambler right in front were he always is with a major leak in armpit . If I loose him I'm screwed ! The boar charged out blew every body back into the creek and said "come on boys get you some of this" and I did with the dirty thirty! He never knew I was there. I spent next day in surgery, Bailey got punched twice in gut and rambler got triceps cut to and off again bone. Alls well they will be out for a while. Little girl is already moved to front of pack and should really bloom with the man out for a while.[/url]

13 HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Poked the hill in the eye this month!. on: November 06, 2016, 12:39:36 pm
this one ran about 2 miles and took the bay in a big brush pile. All dogs were in scratched. This one ran about4 miles and the dogs stayed bayed about3 hours before I could get there to dispatch him. I haven't caught a good boar all year that didnot cost me atleast 500.00 in vet bills. My little gips are finally setteling in and finding there spot at the bay. Knock on wood.
14 HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: 3800 acres west of San Antonio on: October 31, 2016, 11:44:00 pm
The rougher the better! Got solid bay dogs and a 30/30 for a catch dog. All broke and solid ! Except the 30/30. This stuff out here takes a different kind of dog then most people think. Give me a shout. I hunt BANDERA, Kerr, real, Edwards, uvalde and all parts west.

That's the little bitch that has Ben really coming around for me. She is out of lionandboar hunters rambler dog thatis a litter mate to his dog drifter. They go back to a dog named jet out of a bitch named kersy that was probably the best two dogs I've ever seen. Her mother was one of my line bred currs. She strikes from the box when your going 30 mph down the road, can work out a old trail, is silent on track until she jumps him and then she will knock the leaves off the trees every time her foot hits the ground, and she can drive it up ones ass if it wants to run. Knock on wood if I can keep her alive she will shure enough be one worth breeding to.
