HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: NO PAPERS

Didn't realize this was going to cause such a stir. To start out with I didn't get what I paid for. If I was really worried about papers I wouldn't have accepted the pup when I went to pick him up. Really wasn't planning on breeding him either but i would like to know what his breeding was. I use him for blood trailing. I've had bird dogs, labs, and coon hunted for about 15 years pretty heavy, this is the best dog I've ever had. If the jeep leaves the yard he is in the front seat. By the way he saved me a deer this year trailed him about 1/4 mile. I agree with you guys if the dog is any good I wouldn't be worried about papers. I was just trying to give someone a heads up if they were buying from that area.

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / NO PAPERS

I bought a BMC about a year ago now from a guy in Tampa, Fl. I drove 2 hours down there to pick the dog up and was informed that he didn't have the papers on the pup yet. I really liked the the puppy and the guy was very convincing that he would send me the papers. I believed him and to make a long story short after contacting him numerous times still no papers. I am happy with the dog but will not breed him now. Anybody planning on buying a BMC from someone in the Tampa Fl area let me know and I will let you know his name.

I don't post a lot but I check the site out just about every day. I've picked up a lot of info and you all really got me excited about hog hunting. I have a BMC pup i'm training for blood tracking so most of my interest has been flea, worming etc. But all the posts i've been reading this pup might become a hog dog instead.

Ok still can't upload a picture but here is my pup in my profile. Does anyone know why I'm getting a error message saying upload manager file is full. My picture is only 183k and I thought I could go up to 400k.

Here is the BMC pup I bought. Seems to be the smartest dog I've ever owned. Obedience trained and running laid blood trails real good and only six months old. I've tried to upload pictures several still havin problems will try this again. Let my Jack Russell out yesterday he got bit by a rattle snake was dead in 10 minutes. Right in my back yard. Snake died of lead poisoning.

You're right I do what to try it. I ran coon dogs for years just getting too old to stay up after 10pm anymore. Settled down and deer hunt mostly now. But I sure miss running dogs and working with young dogs and wondering if that next pup is the one in a hundred that keeps you raising and training more pups. Well I better close I've almost talked myself into it just writing this post.

Hi everyone I've been lurking around for a couple of months now, figured I better introduce myself. I'm retired military and have lived in the Valdosta area for about 8 yrs now. I'm currently a commercial HVAC tech. Learned a lot already from the site. Worming, Heart worm preventative, flea control and on and on. I was interested in that kind of stuff as I bought a BMC that is about 6 months old right now. I'm using it as a blood tracker and he is doing real good. My problem is I've been reading all the posts and you all have gotten me interested in hog hunting. Anyways thanks for all the good info.
