Yah Casey I should stick to walking but I'm too slow.

Peachcreek: this one has got a real good nose and a lot of bottom - but I don't know if they all hunt that way.

15  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Salt Lake Hunt on: May 20, 2012, 09:59:04 am
Made a run last week on a big salt lake - dogs got on a sow.  Good boar walked right out in the open 60 yards from us but all the dogs were on the sow - maybe next time.  Thanks Casey (POTTER) for making the run and hope to get that salt lake basterd before too long.

Paul,

Thanks again for having me up - a great way to end 8 years of schooling.  I couldn't believe that boar hunt only lasted 10 minutes haha will probably never happen again.  Can't wait to go hit that canyon country again, once I recover physically.

Nice hunt Taylor!  Only thing is, out here in west Texas we don't see that much water - it would probably scare all the dogs away haha.
19  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Open Country hog hunt south of Lubbock on: April 30, 2012, 11:46:48 am
Here is the "beach" picture - 6 sure sounds late haha, did yall run into any trouble on the way back up?

20  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Open Country hog hunt south of Lubbock on: April 29, 2012, 10:21:31 pm
Made a run with Paul Teegardin and Casey (POTTER) Saturday evening on a ranch south of Lubbock.  5 minutes after dropping the dogs, we had some long range dogs bay in a tall wheat circle.  Other dogs got to the bay and stopped a sow.  We were lucky to catch her in the middle of the circle in 10 minutes, given how tall the wheat was.  Headed west and sent the dogs north to a feeder.  Split bays out in the open and we finally stopped a small boar out in the open wheat.  Two newbies got their first sticks - in large part due to Paul and Casey's great dogs.  Thank yall for coming down!  Also, I was surprised how quickly Paul could move when a 6inch centipede crawled up his pant leg!
