HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Dog pooping in food bowl?

My bulldog loves to poop in his bowl. I don't have them screwed down but if I leave his food bowl in the kennel then he will dang sure poop in it. I just figured he was skilled in marksmanship I guess it doesn't bother me, so I just wash it out and keep going

I've never owned a hi point, but I have shot a few and have several friends that own them. It seems like a luck of the draw, get what you pay for issue with them. For their price, quality control has to be obviously lacking somewhere. Some friends say its the best money they ever spent, and others say they wasted their money. Sounds to me like your taking a chance when buying one.
For me , if my life ever depends on it, I pray I have one of my Glocks within reach. I only have a 19 and 23 right now, but I've owned a mess of them and never had a hiccup out of any of them. There is a reason the majority of LEO's carry Glocks. They are simple to use and maintain, and they go bang every time you ask them to. And with a dremel buffer, and a spring change, you can get a really good trigger pull out of them.
I understand that money is an issue, but to me, skimping on a cheap gun would be the same as skimping on some sub par knock off cut gear for your catch dog. WTO me it just ain't worth takin the chance.
x2 I would much rather rely on my glock any day of the week

A week or two ago I had three dogs in cones. All depends on the dogs and your opinion. My dogs were wanting to pull and scratch the staples out so they earned a cone. If the dog doesn't mess with the staples then I don't put a cone on.

I would agree with the way you originally described. I recently had the same type of cut on my cd and stapled it leaving a good drain hole at the bottom, vetericyn often and antibiotics are a must.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Garmin 220 vs 320

I had the 220 for a couple years with no complaints. I recently sold it to buy the 320 for the Birdseye view and haven't been completely happy so far. The Birdseye is nice and shows details fairly well, just make sure you download the highest quality you can. My issue is with my particular handheld though.. Could just be a random problem but I have trouble tracking as far as other handhelds. I have to use a long range antenna to track past 5-600 yards and still can only track around 900 yards with a longer antenna. I have checked for an update and the handheld and collars are utd. I spoke with Garmin and they agree it should track further. The 320 is only two months old so Garmin is sending me a new unit. As long as it tracks as well as my 220 I will be happy with my upgrade.

I run the guardian vest from wild boar USA on my bulldog, which has the leg flaps and chin guard, and both have been cut with the dog being cut. Definately worth having IMO
