1  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / 3/4 catahoula 1/4 bmc pups on: June 22, 2013, 05:23:13 pm
I hunt both parents of these pups. The bitch is a Catahoula out of some old blood a buddy of mine has been hunting here locally for many years. She has struck several hogs for me and will get as rough as she needs to hold a bay. The Sire is a big yellow cur 1/2 bmc 1/2 Catahoula has struck his own hogs and has plenty bottom, grit, and will rollover better than anything on my yard.  If its under 150 they'll usually go ahead an catch out when I get to bay. Pups are 9 weeks old I still have 4 pups available $100 each 1 brindle with little chrome male, 1 blue merle male, 1 half mask blue merle female, and 1 yellow female.  contact me at dennystuart@centurytel.net or call or text me @ 318-210-7474 I can text pics, Thanks Denny

I hunt Mullins feast they have the game drive nose and brains. My males typically run about 30#s and 18" at front shoulder. I like em because they stay bussy and generally make me about a 200yd loop and don't miss all the ones some of these straight lining dogs will.
3  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Nice Hunt in North LA on: February 05, 2013, 08:03:14 pm
We were in Northwest Louisiana. I never mentioned we got 4 but left 1 lay after dragging those 3 out and we bayed a fifth it was a  big sow go over  200. But at that point I was out of ammo and we didn't have a catch dog so I got some video an we watched my trouble dog an Shane's doc pup bay for bout 45 mins finally she broke n we luckily got hands on dogs n called it a day. Also never mentioned that ol boar cut all 4 dogs we had on ground an they still made 4 more bays. I was running cut collars on both my dogs an both collars had cuts in them. We're lucky not to have lost more dogs.

Yeah dogs struck an were bayed up within 100 yards in a wash out in dry creek bed. When we topped ridge all you could see was ol boars head peeping out from under roots an Jeep in his face bayin like a champ with my trouble dog right beside him. You could tell  we had a dog cut bad from the looks of things but Jeep never missed a beat until we had boar down. Jeep was the real deal an went with class. Rip jeep

I think saturday is gonna be your best day if your just going for a day. Its worth going at least once. All your major hog dog vendors are there and anything related to hog dogs is there from pups to dog trailers. And get to see some nice  bay dogs work. Went for first time 5 years ago and been back every year.

Man this is when PVC is a darn good thing!!! Get you a 2 in PVC pipe about 3 ft long. When he goes to being a punk and bowing up to younger dogs give him something to bow up to. A lil extra "lovin" sounds like what he needs!!! Just like what was said before show him YOU run this show!!!
Thank you! Shocked Ain't no need for all that nonsense with my hog dogs or tree dogs "Breaking dogs" means something gives and it can't be you.

11  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: open dog ? on: October 27, 2012, 11:06:15 am
east tex it just depends on the track they will all strike a hot track together  . it's them old tracks that a cur dog is not inclined to take . they can smell it , but will pass on it to find a hotter trail . but the hound will strike that same track and grub it out till it warms up  .
12  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: atv tires on: October 18, 2012, 10:02:07 pm
I run highlifter Outlaw m/s/t 's and have been very satisfied on pavement and in mud. they're not as agressive as there "Outlaws" but still have plenty bite and wear good and seem to be a tougher tire than say the mudlites. I also have ran some 589's several years back they are more puncture resistant to just have gotten out of my price range.
13  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: ridgebacks on: September 29, 2012, 09:01:39 pm
I'm working with my first pair myself. They are litter mates and 13 months now. My male is coming on real nice bays good but already if another dog starts pressuring the hog he is gonna put some teeth in it. Just not to confident yet since hes still a big pup. Couldn't work him and sister together in pen after got around 7 months cause they would try to catch instead of bay. Don't think they are for everyone but I'm enjoying working with mine.....Denny

Again I think you did a great job running the camera and putting this together. I think ol Beverly might make a hand catching for us. Ha. For those who might watch and think we had to many dogs on ground 3 of them are 12 months and younger. We run a motley crew for sure. Good hunting.......Denny
16  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Anyone use feist for strike dogs? on: August 05, 2012, 03:43:03 pm
I use one of my male Mullins feist "Trouble"  for a strike dog. He isn't a small feist he weighs in around 30 lbs. and is 19" at shoulder and . I have lost count at this point but he has struck close to 40 hogs that I've actually killed or caught if not more by know. Not to mention a few that just wouldn't bay. He has the nose, brains, gritt and drive. His only fault is he just don't have quite enough leg if you get on a bad runner but will stay on one for a couple miles. I mean he is a feist and not bred to run game. But I'd say I bag over 80% of the hogs he strikes. I raise squirrel dogs and he was bred for that and will tree the fire out of the squirrels for me as well. He has been a real handy tool for hunting hogs here in south west arkansas. Because alot of places I have to hunt are solid timber or combination of timber and pine plantations and thickets. He excels in thickets were your bigger dogs get slowed way down. And he will catch up to about 100 to 125lbs. has been his biggest to hold but has gotten to were he's gonna try them once no matter the size and has a few scars to prove it. I never encouraged this but he will keep them bayed until I show up and then he will run in and try to catch on the ear.He is a super tight in there face bay dog. My avatar is Trouble at 10 months old in the face of a 230 + boar. I have posted several pictures of hunts with him on here. Good Hunting.....Denny
17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Marijuana vs Alcohol on: March 29, 2012, 01:12:40 pm
To each his/her own... anything that is abused is not good. I don’t judge people for what they want to do in their free time or what they believe, and nor do I like to be. So, as long as you take care of your family and what is expected of you I don’t see a problem with either, and you are fine by me.  Lips Sealed

X2 I'll admit I enjoy a cold beer as much as the next guy, but my father died in a drunk driving accident when I was 10 months old and to this date I haven't heard of anyone totalling there vehicle at a high rate of speed and killing themselves driving stoned. Its all about $$ big money politics if you ask me. JMO......Denny
18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Who all are attending Uncle Earls on: March 22, 2012, 12:55:27 pm
Me and Mason are heading down there saturday they'll be having the 2 dog bay that day. You should definetly check it out if you've never been they have alot of vendors there selling everything a hogdogger needs, collars, cut gear, dog boxes, dogs you name it. I always pick up a bunch of collars with name plates real cheap there. Its definetly something to see at least once this is gonna be my third time making the pilgrimage, ha. Get to see some good baydog action in pen they usually have some good boars for the dogs to work. ....Denny
