1  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Torn Foot Pad on: October 16, 2011, 02:01:12 am
So my GSP torn both front foot pads on the quail opener.  I put some Tuf-Foot on it today.  I was going to put some Tuf-Foot or some bag balm on it tomorrow.  I tried to bandage it with some vet wrap but he just would chew the wrap off the second I left him alone.  I also am planning on just trying to keep him confined to his crate as much as possible for a couple days.  Anything else I should do?

He tore the big center pad at the front edge (by the toe pads) on both front paws.

that law about tanning is just like all the other stupid useless laws on the books regardless of what state it is in

it is another case where the government thinks they know better then the people how we should live our lives

yes people in california are nuts..... there is a reason it is called the "land of fruits and nuts"

How hot is it when the cokes in the back of the truck start exploding?

Way too freaking hot.... that reminds me of when I used to live in Arizona... the exploding cans of soda.... and the illegals and the helicopters.... ah the joys of the border and illegal aliens
4  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Job vs Love on: August 31, 2011, 12:54:22 am
I have had a couple of amazing jobs working in IT.  I will NEVER have another job working with computers, but it is not because of the computers or even the work..... it is because of the PEOPLE!!

I still work on computers a lot, but I do it for fun and to help people I know.

I bet it is not the work that he hates, it is the people.  Don't let him discourage you.

Circle C hit the nail on the head... don't make a career out of a hobby.

BUT if you truly love the job you will not get tired of it and will not hate it... maybe just the people... I know I am long winded right now but I am dealing with some of the same stuff... just different career fields  Smiley

12  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: 70th Day over 100!!!! on: August 23, 2011, 04:15:19 pm
it never gets that bad in southern california.... well unless you count the desert out there... but the part where people actually live it doesn't get that bad mainly because of how close the COLD pacific ocean is.

when I was stationed out in Tucson Arizona it didn't even come to be as hot as it is in Texas right now... mainly because we would have our daily "Monsoon" rains that helped everything stay a little cooler

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: College Station vs Huntsville on: August 23, 2011, 02:11:58 pm
My problem with getting a degree is I am 29 now and I am not getting younger

If I go to school for 2 more years at either college I will have to wait two more years before I start making any money.

Paying for it won't be a problem either way... I will be using your taxpayer dollars  Wink Grin  THANK YOU GI BILL Wink
18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / College Station vs Huntsville on: August 23, 2011, 01:37:55 am
or put another way

Texas A&M vs Sam Houston State

I am trying to figure out which one to go to.

I might just end up going to the TEEX and just doing the police academy on my own instead of finishing up my 4 year degree.

Any advice or thoughts on where to go?  I am looking at moving in January so I need to get on the application process soon.
