I have 2 and have been using them for the last few months. The bark detection works farely well. You have to set the sensitivity in the settings. I have had one problem. One of mine just bit the dust. Completely stopped worked. Wont turn on or anything. I personally think they get better range then my dc30s and dc40s.

Lesson to be learned for all of us here. Rotate your strike dogs if you can or make a solo run with one strike dog to see the progress of your other dogs. We get dependant on the best dogs we have to get the job done and to make us look good by catching more hogs but maybe at the same time we are holding back other dogs that need that confidence builder of being the leader to take the next step in their hunting career. My best dog got cut down was out for 6 weeks. Had two dogs that had been hunting along side for a good while. Number one is back in the picture and cant keep up with the other 2 and hes slowly moving to the number 3 hole.

I accidently ended up 4000 acres to runs this year 1000 of that being crops. Ive had dogs for 4 or 5 years and never had a place like that to hunt. So now im paying all my buddys back for all the hunts they took me on. Its a good feeling. Keep trying man. It will happen you just have to stay with it.

Chad S. got me Dr.Brackeens number. He said he didnt do call out anymore. Like you mentioned. I havent ran into too many hogs with big teeth so I havent been using my cut gear and the heat gets to them faster. Im not saying what happend is okay. It is my fault he should have had gear on.

Are there any vets in Brazoria County that still do call outs that wont rape you in the process? Had a dog fixed up by Freeport Vet Clinic. Paid $1500 for 4 houra of service. Yes the dog is worth it to me. And I know its part of the game but damn. I had to take the dog back because after 5 days a 10" chest cut had completely reopend. Oh well sir its gunna cost another $200. Who puts one continues stitch in a cut that size. Especially if his carotid artery is showing. The vets says. Well I did you a favor coming in so late. Plus your not a even a regular. Really. Well bi@#$ you shouldnt have answered the phone if you didnt want the work. Thats not it but im done. I just wanted to explode on her dumbass. If this is too much info to be post about dog damge. Delete it I wont be upset. Just had to vent.

Are they really talking about hogs or illegal immigrants? Why dont they complain about something no one is trying to solve. There are millions of people hunting hogs. There are to many other thing to worry about for them to be talking about hog hunters.

Ive been hunting them 4 times a week. One gype blew her pads out in two days. So they are getting on plenty of tracks. Im starting a few new dogs also to try and have more dogs to run a second pack. The young dogs are only 6 months old but are doing good .

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / How many times a week?

I haven't always had a bunch of land to hunt. I recently got access to around 5000 acres to runs. About 1000 acres are crops. I haven't ever had to push my dogs this hard. Just wondering how many times a week I can hunt them without burning them up? Or is this just something I keep an eye out for them being to fatigued.

Talk to the garmin people at the NRA convention in houston. The guy saif they would have an external gps like the 30s with an improved tougher antenna. He also said they are going to be anouncing them real soon and doing everything they can to have them on the market before the weather cools down and people start hunting more. He said maybe around September. He was a pretty cool guy aswered all my questions. Gave me 3 Garmin hats.

Got an 02 which is the same generation as your getting. I just ordered a new throttle positioning sensor because I get dead pedal sometimes and the transmission slips in and out of overdrive. It has 150k I got it at 105k and all my problems started at about 130k. But other than that I can complain. Paints flaking off and dash is cracked but thats very common on a dodge so you already know that. Hope your truck is standard. I wish mine was
