I appreciate the compliments on the horse. The thing I like about him most is he's anything you want him to be...meaning he's one of the best heel horses ive ever owned, one of the best pick up horses ive ever owned, an open barrel horse, dang nice breakaway horse and pretty nice cow horse. But I will tell you that five years ago he'd do his best to throw you down.

Moderators The dog trade forum should be kept simple. ONLY and ONLY should the poster be able to post or edit his/hers post meaning there will be no replying to a dog trade post. The poster should be required to post thier contact info...email and/or phone number. Therefore if someone has interst in said post then they can contact poster personally. Does this make sense?

I use saddle pads with the inpact gel and see the need for it there, and am happy with them so far, but what cut resistance does the gel have? Maybe im wrong here but catch dogs are usually injured do to a cut not the impact therefor I would suppose that the gel is only added weight and heat. Also what if the gel is cut through....how do you repair that? Again I can only suppose.

As mentioned above but the ranger is the smoothest machine out there. The 2009 models and up have lots of storage. The tow capacity is uncomparable. The seat will fit 3 grown men. Ground clearance. Power. Ergonomics on the 2009's beat any. Plenty of room in the bed. With my back seat in I can haul 5 men, dog trailer, hunting supplies, ice chest, ect.....that’s nice. The 2009's and up are alot quieter than the old ones also. Did I mention how smooth they ride......its awesome. I've used the mules and rhinos, for work and hunting their not even in the same game as the ranger. Ill get you some pics of my set up.

I think it depends on the severity of the break. I have one that was hit by a car and broke his pelvic which healed fine. At the time he got hit he also was ate up with arthritis, hip dysplasia, 8 hard years of work and suffered a torn acl along with the broke pelvic so he had alot going against him. He is not as fast as he used to be but as I mentioned its a variety of issues not just the pelvic.
