Still have a red cur/walker gyp I advertised a few weeks back. Shows a lot of promise with her nose. Started hunting out with the strike dog about 75% of the time. She has trashed once to my knowledge on an armadillo but broke off pretty quickly. She needs to be hunted where there's plenty of hogs present. I can see her making a lead dog in no time. She does take some time to warm up to new hunters but she comes around. Her brother was a long range strike dog but was open on track. So far she hasn't opened up though. Bays good on shoat in pen. Got a 18 month old gyp. She's gotten better every hunt. Last 3 hunts she's gone from walking at my feet to ranging with the other strike dogs about 75% of the time. I don't think she knows 100% what she's made for yet but it won't take long at this rate. It takes her awhile to warm up I guess. So far she's hunted best in front of a truck. Im getting out of hunting is the only reason to sell her. Her brother is a long distance dog which is the reason I took a chance on her. We've had her baying a shoat 3 times a week for almost a month and she's getting real game. She's been silent so far but has trashed an armadillo for a short distance.
