i have a young half plott and half ctahoula that is 7 monthes old and hasnt been in the woods but has been in bay pens

i have two that always try to bay when we bring our cought hogs to the house.so were thinking about trying them in the bay pen

hey i just started to and im just turning fourteen tommorow.i have found out that every one on here will help you in every way,just gotta ask.and for a good baydog i would go with a catahoula or blackmouth curr.but if you get dogs and want to work with them i live in ennis and my number is 469-471-8385.

i have no clue were to start about tracking collars.wat should i get a gps or wat.does any body have any suggestions

went out to a new place with somes friends this morning and got this
old boar. thats my catch dog half asleep. I think somebody else has
been there hunting cause he was a running sucker..but he won`t run
anymore!!!!!

welcome mason. where do you guys hunt around there. the reason i ask is some of my family lives pretty close to there and heck i may have to hit them up on hunting thier land

we have 130 acres we live on in palmer we live off neck road.but theres is not many hogs on our land but a guy has land beside us that is 600 acres and is full of hogs.my dad also has land in briastole thats 500 acres and its a mile away from the trinity river.we also have 130 acres in fairfeild that has a bunch of hogs

i hunt with a guy name paul sometimes .but my dad owns some land in bristole thats one mile away from the trinity that has some hogs maybe we could take a hunt out there some time.

if not im sure some of the guys on here including myself would be glad to try and arrange a hunt

hey kid its really good to know that people your age, at least a few are keepin on the right course. in the woods = out of trouble. If you have any questions at all concerning hog hunting or hog dogs dont be afraid to ask there are tons of people on here with plenty of knowledge to pass around. I love seeing the younger generations into hunting no matter what type but in my opinion i thyink u picked the best type there is. Theres nothing like watchin your dogs bay and catch a hog, i wish you the best of luck buddy. O and by the way if you and your dad want to make a hunt in a little different type of scenery I'd be more than willin to take ya'll to one of my places here in southeast texas all you have to say is when. if interested tell your dad to give me a call at 409-454-3460. we can go on 4wheelers or horse-back whichever ya'll prefer. my dad raly doesnt like hunting hogs wth dogs i guess i didnt fowllow in his path because i love it already and ive only been twice.but a guy that works with my dad he would be intrested if thats okay and hes been alot he actually just got a blackmouth thats exallent bay dog and a pitbull thats a realy good catch dog.but wre both interested in going.we could probably learn alot from u

there has been a sow behind my house eating at my feeder every night at 8 .so i put my trap down there buy it. and the hog will eat the corn under the feeder but wont go in the trap.ive tried soured corn,regular corn ,frosted flakes and big red mix up.i orderd some black gold to put in there but if it doesnt work does any one have any suggestions

Would like to hear the different ways black gold is being used by different people. 

i like to put it on the trip wire in my trap and it usally works good.

i dont but i can get some and post them.the catahoula is 5 months ,the black mouth is 7 months,and my catch dog is 5 months.my dads friend and i have put them in a bay pen a few times with a dog that already knows how to bay real well and they are catching on fast
