I don't think I would like it if they were shooting around the places I hunt either.
But there is two sides to the coin and they are putting a big dent in the population where land owners don't want the pigs. It is not traditional but effective.
The local farms that I hunt give us a badge that say "hog eradication team" and that what we try our best to do or they will find someone else who will.

The episode that I saw they had trucks on the ground picking hogs up and I believe they mentioned donating the meat.
I'll be the first to go against the grain and say I would jump in the chopper if I had an opportunity.

My local farms aren't big enough for my cold nosed hounds. Before I knew better I tried it. I have a walker that winds from the box and I have thought about bringing him to some of the farms to ride and wind, then turn the other dogs loose. We using him at the hunting lease to find hogs and turn the young hounds out with high success. Might just have to try it with the cur dogs.

Looks good. The drop down top gate will be nice. I designed the box I just build with ideas from several boxes I have used with friends and a swinging gate can be a real headache!
I have plans to build a similar box for a Ranger. Not sure of all the details yet but I'm thinking we are going to use the polaris lock and ride holes to secure the box to the bed. We also have thrown around the idea of have storage under the box.
Eager to see how your box turns out.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Justincorbell, I can't take all the credit. My brother has most of the skills. I came to him with what I wanted to do and he designed the box using a computer program (he's a mechanical engineer) and then we built it from the plans he made.

Charles I'm estimating about $500 in total material: aluminum, stainless hinges and locking latches, rivets, filler rods, and welding gas. The rivets were used to attach the latches, hinges and diamond panels to the doors only the rest was welding using a miller tig machine.

Yes you are right I haven't decided on the divider material yet. I have seen some expanded aluminum that looks nice but may just go with some sheet. I think plywood would ruin a good thing ha

Also remember the skin will stretch as they grow. A friend of mine branded a younger pup and now her brand is nearly double the size of the rest of the dogs
