Where abouts are you located? I know there is one in star city, arkansas that is held every 3rd saturday of the month. I went to ut, it was my first event to ever be at. Great people, good hogs, and a nice pen!

HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / My pup has worms...

Got me a nice looking 9 week old pit puppy from the pound.. once I got her home I gave her a dose of nemex. Well the next day she is pooping out roundworms.
So my question is do I give her another dose or do I just give her another dose in 2 weeks?
Or does the nemex kill the woms and she will eventually poop em all out?

This is a great thread! I for one am very green to hog hunting with dogs. I am also a firm believer in starting out properly and taking care of your hunting equipment, this especially includes your dogs! I learned at a very young age to take care of your animals. This means from cleaning up after them, proper socialization, up to date shots, worming ( read the worming routine sticky, good info), exercise, proper protection ( cut vests, vet bill, cut kit, etc) and proper diet. If you don't have the money to properly care for your dog or have the funds to take it to the vet when it gets hurt, it would be best to give the dogs to someone that can care for them. Find a buddy that hunts hogs and go with him.

I am new to this too. What I have found out is some guys can have one rcd that does it all and some run a lot of dogs. More than one way to skin a cat.
I am somewhat limited on how many dogs I can have... no more than 5 for me. Gotta figure out which route works better for you. Seems like trial and error are the only way to do that.
Guys if I'm wrong please correct me because I am new as well.
