The Campbell dogs do not have any of the common known cur dogs in them but guess they had to call them something . I had a couple Campbell dogs several years ago that was shaggy haired.

We have always had better luck with full blooded English pointers rather than Shorthair's . most are very gritty and will sometimes point the hog before they start baying .

No hound or cur in the outlaw dogs . They all looked alot like bird dogs . Hard hunting and rough as a cobb. The Campbell dogs are bird and bull then crossed to one of the founding outlaw dogs.

The outlaw and the Campbell go back to a dog named peanut . Peanut was a well built red and white dog that had tons of heart and grit . He played a big role in the outlaw dogs as well as the Campbell dogs .

The Campbell and outlaw cur's are both very tight bred lines . The outlaw dogs did not have hound in them . The outlaw dog (peanut) was a strong influence in the Campbell dogs and he is not far back in the lineage .

The outlaw and Campbell dogs both went back to a dog that was owned by Randy Dominy . they both had one common ancestor but the lines were bred differently after that . Some of both lines hunted similar however the outlaw dogs are more intense bay dogs as a whole .
