We had a few to many dogs on the ground but half of them had never been on a hog in the woods, or if so less than 3. They all clicked and did Great, except my new rcd dane gyp. My ben dog struck the first 150lb sow about 500 yds out and hoghunterdfw's marker dog had it caught before the pups and cd arrived but when the help came, the older dogs rolled out and struck a nice 250lb sow that hogstalker's (joe) ab bella handled up with ease like the natural she is. All the young dogs did great and it was an easy, no thorns, short hunt, worth going on Thank God since I almost had a divorce leaving to go hunt during x-mas tree decorating and pissed off a buddy that i forgot to call and drove right past his house to hunt. Sorry muleman my wife's fault, still thought you were in concealed handgun class!

This is the first hog my 5 mo. old dogo from ppc's Galen and ppc Paloma saw in her 1st training at a baypen for the first time. At 5 mo old her (Kya's) hunting instincts kicked in quick, she caught a little wild but we got her on the head quickly. She made me proud and hit extremely HARD! I will try to post more pics later.

We mostly leave them in the feild where the farmers tractor wont hit them. Or take out backstraps and ham steaks of a good eating sow, but no stinky boars just trophy heads. If its the right size and we are able to get a wheeler to it take it to the baypen for the young dogs.

One good point is if anyone has a dog on trial or want to know how your dog really hunts nothing will show you or teach you faster than a garmin, it gives you a great understanding of how your dog hunts that day and on avg. Yes I do need to learn how to get back to the truck better without my garmin or my wife with me! LOL Especially if I run to a bay, any star navigation advice etc will be appreciated, so turned around after the adrennaline wears off dang it! De you sissy at least I can always find my way back to you "speedy" and my tomtom gets me home from there
