42  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Malinois CD on: April 12, 2022, 03:54:12 pm
A friend of mine was given a malinois shepherd pup a couple weeks ago… about 3 months now and the first time he saw a pig he was trying to eat his rear end out…he also went to catching and killing chickens…he got his butt tore up for messing with chickens…I was telling my friend to look at it from bright side…the pup is gamey…

Ha, yea gamey is a good breed description. If he gets it on a hog let me know how it goes. My breeding didnt take so no pups on the way now, and my 8 mo old pet is to great of a guard dog to risk in the woods but as soon as I hobble something big enough and without teeth Im going to try him. He will catch a sleeve... My cd is a hunting fool when allowed, my 8 mo old never leaves my side off the lead other than to play with other dogs but I bet he will catch.

I cant post videos on here if anyone can tell me and ill text it to you.

My buddy started hobbling hogs around the snout to 1 back leg and literally walks them out of the woods like a dog on a lead, he walked one 700 yds last weekend!

Id never heard of that, any of yall doing this?
44  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Winding… on: April 12, 2022, 09:43:55 am
Ive never tried to train a dog to wind, but ive never had a strike dog that wouldnt... even my cds will wine when they smell one. Id guess anything in the 4-600 yd range make them wine in the back of the truck.

use the search engine brave or duckduckgo and search CDS water purification, its cheap give her 6 or so cc's 2 hrs away from food a few times a day, if she has a hard mass inject directly. For prevention next time just keep some in her water.

I just had to do this with my bmc/mal mutts for the mom

49  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: 3/26/22 n 3/27/22 hunt on: March 29, 2022, 12:19:21 pm
Allot of tusk for the size of that 1st hog

We thought so too. He might have weighed 120# soaking wet and he was the smallest one we caught but he had two Plotts that he had backed off in a briar patch.

Ive always wondered if it was from the different terrains diet, 10 yrs + ago I hunted allot in Greenville off 380, caught a bunch of big hogs rarely had tusks, then in Corsicana off hwy 45 and everything had ivory...

Old man the 12 yr old is technically my niece, we adopted her last yr.

54  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Quick hunt on: March 28, 2022, 05:59:41 pm
Dropped 4 curs, they bayed 400 yds away on a treeline next to some fresh planted corn in 5 to 10 minutes of hitting the ground, lead my malinois into 60 yds cut him and caught 2 sows back to back, my 12 yr old got her 1st kill and my 11 yr old is ready to get hers next. Went home early and watched UFC recorded from earlier. Great day

56  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: You culling SOBs on: March 15, 2022, 01:53:51 pm
My add that I just put up giving away 8 malinois/cur pups for free got allot of attention as well, several people said give them to a shelter or charge 150$ bc free pups go as bait dogs to pit fighters. I basically said the families that came and picked them up, got their shot and worming history with their kids are probably not fighting dogs if I had to bet,  and how high of a % of people in this nice suburb are into fighting dogs lol?
57  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / repair vest cut through on: March 07, 2022, 01:53:53 pm
If I have got a southern cross vest cut through 7 times how do you repair the vest? Will southern cross patch it up for a fee? Some kind of epoxy to reseal?
58  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: Ol No Nutz on: March 07, 2022, 01:51:56 pm
My buddy just got my old dogo all cut up on a bar that only had 1/2 of 1 ear, cut through a good southern cross vest 7 times
59  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: 15 and 2 toothy toads on: March 07, 2022, 01:50:38 pm
What part of the country do you hunt in, are you here in TX??

Those dogs would make excellent crop dogs, I know that for sure here in the DFW area, plus would be could for horseback hunting with all that extra leg
60  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Re: A COUPLE OF HUNTS on: March 02, 2022, 05:37:17 pm
