This year there will be a Regular Division and an Open Division in the hunt.

The regular division will be the same as every year. The only change to this division will be with Barr Hogs. This year the regular division will allow one Barr Hog at full weight with no deduction penalty and all other Barr Hogs will have the standard 30% deduction.

The Open Division will be a complete separate hunt. The entry fee for this division will be $1,000 and there will be no additional cost for any helpers. Only 4 helpers will be allowed. The competition will be for the total weight of all hogs caught over 125 lbs (including Barr Hogs). This division will be a 100% payout of all entry's entered in this division as well as buckles and other prizes. Also starting with the first place team of the 2017 8th Annual Hunt, 1st place winners from the 8th annual hunt forward in the regular hunt will not be eligible to hunt in the regular hunt and must hunt in the open division going forward. Any Team wanting to hunt in the open division also must be entered by 10:00 PM on the Wednesday prior to the start of the hunt.

All teams are eligible to enter in either or both categories with exception of the 1st place teams from the 2017 8th annual hunt forward.

One other important change will be the time of weigh-in. This year all teams must be inside the gate of the Expo Center before 1:00 PM on Sunday April 8, 2018.

The dates have been set.  This years 9th Annual Randy Bumpurs Memorial Hog Hunt will take place April 6 - April 8, 2018.  We hope to see everyone there.  Rules and entry forms will be posted soon.

We have had a few questions, regarding the minimum weight of a hog for the weigh in.  The hogs must weigh at least 50 lbs to count towards the competition.

We are having a problem with our website being updated.  If you are trying to enter you can use last years entry form off of the website or the updated form is on here and facebook.  The only difference between last years entry form and this years is the date.  You may also enter in person up to 11:45pm 2/24/17.  Contact 903-644-6153 for more information.

One of last years prize buckles

Yes we noticed that Mr. Monty's date was going to be the same as the Bumpurs.  Our local Expo Center has been booked up and we had to choose this date shortly after last years hunt.  We have nothing but respect for Mr. Monty Bennet and his hunt and hope that everyone comes out to support his hunt as well as the Bumpurs.
