I know exactly what you mean my daughter and I when out for a walk she took her little dog and I took one of my catch dogs, while we were walking we met a lady on the road she was amazed with the looks and the size of my dog every thing was good until she asked what kind of dog it was and when I told her it was a pit she had a total different attitude, she told me pits were ban in oklahoma and how mean she herd they were and that was the first time she had ever seen one then I let her have it. I told her it was people like her that gives pits a bad name and for info pits are not banned in oklahoma. Not ever even been around one she was bad mouthing the breed. If I would have told her it was a collie or anything other than a pit she would not of hade any problem with my dog. That ticks me off!!

I was talking to a friend of mine and he told me some fellow doggers had lost their bull dog in the same area on the same day that we lost mike, both collars shut off and both dogs just vanish. That seems kind of odd to me.

HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Can you believe this ?
|

Yesterday a kid that has started hunting with me went out to feed his new bulldog he had just bought, when he got there he found his dog under a pickup with his collar off and almost what appeared to be beat to death. He called me wanting to barrow a staplegun and some underwoods for all the cuts. He came by and picked the stuff up and headed out to his pens when he got there he noticed something black out in the field next to his pens it was his other bulldog someone had opened the gate and let the dog out of his pen and closed the gate back there was no possible way that dog got out of this pen. I cannot believe some would beat a dog for no reason or just open the gates on a guys dog pens. But I can make one promise if I find out who did this to this kids dogs they will be in for a rough ride down here in Caddo Co.

THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Finished Mt. cur for sale

I have a 3 yr old mt. cur female, she will hood or she will hunt out of the back of the truck. She is a very good ground dog, she is a med to long range dog. If you get her in the area of a hog she will find it. The reason I am getting rid of her is she is what some call semi open, when she is on a hot track or she has seen the hog and it breaks she will use a little mouth and I have noticed that it is causing my other dog to use a little mouth when they are together and I dont my other dog to start using his mouth. She is not wide open by any means. She is not dog aggressive and she has a great handle on her. If you want to catch hogs and dont minde a little mouth this is the dog for you. All you need is a catch dog, she can take care of the rest. I am asking 1500 for her or may take some trades. I will give a 2 week cash in hand trial on her, I promise you will not be dissapointed. Give me a call if you have any questions (405) 638-2183 Thanks for looking

My daughter started hunting with me when she was 4. She would ride on my shoulders to the bay and ride on my shoulders on the way back out. Talk about wear a man out but she loved it that is all that mattered.

Don't give up, I lost my bulldog for two weeks in below zero temps with ice and snow everywhere I thought for sure he was dead or someone had picked him up. exactly two weeks to the day a farmer called and told me that he had seen my dog on the road about a quater mile away from where I had lost him, I ran out there and it was him. I had pretty well given up then we got that call.

I want to say thank's to everyone that has helped look for my dog.It is sure glad to have him back.It is unbelievable that this dog survived for two weeks in the below zero temps' I never thought he would have made it but I thought wrong. I thought the vest and cut collar would have him rubbed raw but he has no raw spots he is just a little skinny. From looking in his pin I think he has ate a hog or two. Give him a couple weeks and we will be after them again. THANKS EVERYONE !!!!

THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / Brindle male bulldog lost and poss. stolen(REWARD!!)

I lost my brindle bulldog about 1:00 am on 1/3/10 northeast of Gracemont,Ok around the springcreek church area.I sent him to a bay the hog broke and my luck his dc-30 shut off and Inever seen him agian. I have had numerous people looking for him night and day and went to every house around talked, to every farmer and every person I have seen in the area and nothing. The only thing that I have found is a spot in the road that looked like someone had turned their dogs in on a trail crossing the road. I cannot say for sure that someone stole him but it is hard for me to believe that a dog could just vanish with no one seeing anything. I have walked the section out three times and nothing. He is wearing a black and orange cut vest and cut collar with my name on both. He is a big brindle male bulldog about 85lbs ears cut and the tip of his tail has been broken off. I am offering a large reward for the return of my dog.If you have any info on this dog please call me day of night (405) 638-2183 I know there is alot of brindle bulldogs around and the description is not much.He also has a cuts on both front legs one has staples in it. I will try to post a pic asap, thank you very much
