But please ones again I want you guys to know, these are NOT 2 breeds on top of each other. These have over 10 specially selected breeds put through each other over 30 years, to get a rough tough smart, fast, brave durable hunter.

OZ,
would you mind informing us of the 10 breeds that you mentioned that went into the Bullarab? I had previously read that there were only thre breeds in the makeup being: English Pointer, Bull Terrier, and Greyhound.
6  HOG & DOGS / DOGS ON HOGS / Training question - running catch dogs on: December 03, 2008, 05:32:13 pm
With all the discussion of the differences between raising catch dogs and strike dogs, I thought I might strike up a new conversation. The general concensus was that most treat their cur/strike/bay dogs like hunting dogs, and treat their catch dogs like pets. Now I was wondering some opinions on raising and training a dog or dogs with the goal in mind of the dog to be a finder/holder. I realize that most do not train or own dogs of this nature and this is not meant to start an argument over if one style is better or more effective than the other. I enjoyed reading and learning the information from the previous posts, so I ask if you do not have experience in this matter than please sit back, read, and learn yourself rather than stir the pot. Looking forward to hearing everyone's opinions.
