1  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Donald Trump on: October 14, 2016, 06:37:49 am
hillary clinton is a pos. she supports partial birth abortion and against capitol punishment, you tell me how a baby dont deserve a chance but a damn criminal in prison shouldnt be put to death because its unconstitutional, its no doubt she screwed her email stuff up and got out of it. look at all the people shes had ties to that just up and died in the last year. she left them men in bengazi to die like they was rats but we just traded 6 people of of guatamo bay for nothing. anyone that works will tell you the health care system we have now is nothing but junk. i just cant see how anyone could vote for her.

6  THE CLASSIFIEDS / THE DOG TRADE / strike dog on: June 17, 2016, 12:40:02 pm
i have a male strike dog for sale, hes 7 years old, either cast him or track hunt him, hes got more bottom than the average hunter wants in a dog he will usually run a hog until he gets to hot or it bays, every once in a while you can cut him off the track. hes long range he will not fight in the box but will at the bay so its good to hunt him by his self. pick up at my house only im not meeting anywhere and cash only no out of town checks, 2 week trial. if he gets killed or cripple you own him. located in Thomasville Alabama
the reason im selling him is cause i want out of the dog business. if you walk hunt you do not want this dog  334 357 9028 bo_pugh1985@hotmail.com $2000
7  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: If you could have only one dog... on: June 13, 2016, 02:20:26 pm
alot of factor in getting a hog dog is the place you have to hunt not nessarly how you want to hunt, if you want to hunt a long range cast dog but only have 200 acres its not gonna work out good. you just have to look out side the box
8  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Little Okie Style fishin on: June 13, 2016, 02:16:10 pm
over here in bama we use to snag them at the dam, it didnt matter if you had to cut his guts out to get the hook out we had to throw them back they said it was a big fine here to keep them, i always wondered how they tasted and if it was any other way to catch them beside snagging them

11  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Bullies as Catchdogs on: March 27, 2016, 12:07:12 pm
Mike around here they call them pocket pitts, i cant see where i could use one for hunting, i know a fellow that raises them for shows and pets and i was at his house one day and he had a litter of pups ready to go i liked one of them pups and got it out of the pen and asked how much would it cost me to own that pup he said 2500$ and was serious so i put it back in the pen with the others , so their pretty pricey too,  its just to many bulldogs out there that are easy available to be trying someting different just to be different.
12  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Cut Gear ?'s for a newbie on: March 15, 2016, 05:24:37 pm
if their just pups i wouldnt worry about cut gear right now, id hunt them awhile and see what they do or if their even going to make the cut. its fixen to be hot and odds are you would prob have one of them die of heat than getting gutted, just my 02, i dont run any cut gear on my mutts its to hot and i dont want one to get tangled up and drown from a vest.
13  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Trash breaking pups. on: February 28, 2016, 08:00:31 pm
Just find whatever it is you want to break them off of dead on the side of the road. Make sure its fresh. Put the dog and the dead "whatever" in a 55 gallon drum and roll em down a hill.  Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Evil Evil just JOKING !!! but I do know an old timer that tried to talk me into doing it with a walker dog that was running deer. He said it worked like a charm. He's real old and didn't have the technology we have today to work a dog with.
Old timers use to use a shock box too. It was a metel box with a pulley system they'd tie a deer hide or what ever trash game to the rope and pull it down there with the pulley then when it got there light their ass up. I heard they used a extension chord and 110v but I ain't sure on that. These dogs have forgotten about the good ole days lol
14  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Securing dog houses to back of kennels. on: February 28, 2016, 07:55:06 pm
In my kennels I have barrels for dog houses. I put a 2x4 inside the barrel and screwed I bolts through the barrel in the 2x4, I screwed one on each end and took 2 pieces of light chain and  have mine hanging in my pens off the side of each kennel. I got them tilted a little back so the hay don't get kicked out and about 6 inches off the ground so I can wash out from under them and nothing is in the pen for a terd to hang up on when I wash them out. And their facing the back of the pen so when I wash I don't accidently spray in the houses.

16  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: ever been cut by a hog? on: February 14, 2016, 09:05:57 pm
We was moving a big boar in the 300lb range one time off a broken foirwheeler rack to another rack and they rolled him on me. He bit my arm and I snatched it out it. Wasn't to bad scared me more than anything and was sore a few days.
Then one time i had a good toothy hog tied up with hay string he wasn't tied up but about 20 minutes so he could still feel his feet when I get the last leg cut loose and was trying to hold him he kicked and I cut the number 2 out of my finger when i got off of him I figure he was gonna run off but his nose was hitting the back of my legs all the way to my truck this a pic of where I cut my self haha

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: how to teach grit? on: February 13, 2016, 10:10:29 am
I thought about putting her in a bay pen with a real rough hog.. she's never had a scratch on her, she's been too quick so far, but if she got a poke or two, maybe she'd get rougher? 50 50 shot whether she gets rough or ruined.. anybody try this? how'd it work out..
If the hog whooped on her that would prob make her more scared and she would definetly stay  back further then. I think the best opion is get another dog to go with her.

What's your price range??
19  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Finished dogs? What's your idea of finished? on: February 11, 2016, 09:22:39 pm
Slim just because someone offers you something with Parker blood in it don't mean it's the ticket either. Some people like them some don't go look on the hog hunting 4 real board it's plenty to read on them.
20  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: how to teach grit? on: February 11, 2016, 07:26:33 pm
sounds like the kinda dog I like. She won't ever be in the injured pen and you will always have a dog to hunt with
