It's truly hard to say how far they wind from . Just because they stop it a mile or so away don't mean they winded it that far. That's just where they stopped it. Just my 2 cents. That's all I run is wind dogs

There's nothing better then a good grove to hunt

It isn't the breed you are looking for. It is the dog that will do the job.

Had it happen this past January on a quota hunt. My buddys two dogs were baying & mine had a decent sow caught in some thick willow trees. They broke out when we got in there to them. that was the first rally I seen in about 15 years.

Good hogs. Its been getting warm down here lately.  The humidity has been above 80 %.  It makes you not want to see what summer is going to be like

Good hunt. I hunt solo 99% of the time. I prefer it that way. I own 3 dogs & hunt 1 dog 2 at the most when I go.

I'd say it goes with the type of terrain your hunting. I had a Polaris ranger for a few years but went back to a 4wheeler. The ranger was nice but it didn't fit in those tight spots you can get to on a 4wheeler.

I've had the pleasure of hunting behind a few different bird/bull's. They were fast, full of energy & straight catch. I like them a lot. Wouldn't mind having a few myself.
