I know you miss ole Blue. I still miss Hank and he's been gone for almost six years now. Good dogs are few and far between and I consider myself lucky to have had him.

I will try to post some pics of these two pups when I get the chance. I sold two pups to a guy in Kirbyville out of this litter and he called me the other night wanting another one. He said the two he got from the first litter were awesome too. Think I might be on to something here. I sure like them anyway.

Those of you that know me can remember my old dog Hank. He was the sire of Mike's Blue dog. I never bred him much and I dont know of any of his get that are still alive. I have one male and two females that are his grand get left. I crossed the male on one of these females last year to see what I would get double breeding on Hank's blood. I kept two gyp's out of this litter and both started hunting very early. One I call Little T has always been ahead of the other one I call Dixie. Last night (our first hunt of the year) and first in probably 6 months too. Dixie and Little T found and Bayed 6 hogs ahead of my older dogs. They are only 17 months old and are rolling out just like their great grandpa used to do.  I have a new litter on the ground of this same cross Cant wait to see how they turn out.

I have 3 females ready to go this weekend. Pups are out of good hog dogs. Dad is awesome bay dog and mom has the best nose I have seen on a catahoula in quite awhile. These pups are double bred Browning's Hank & blazen rebel (great grandparents on both sides) also has J Cross, Happy Hollow, Creekbank and Callaway blood in them. As long as the gyp is in good health she should be fine to raise a litter of pups. I have a 9 year old gyp raising pups now and she did fine. She didnt have but 3 which was just fine with me.

Anytime you get a pup from any kennel it is a gamble. I have had the honor of owning some really good dogs over the years. The pups I have kept out of these dogs some worked out some didnt. Mike's dog Blue came from my dogs and he was a hell of a dog. There was 7 pups from that litter 4 of them made good dogs the other 3 were not worth shooting. Both parents of this litter were great dogs. I have had about a 60 percent success rate on dogs actually making good hog dogs in 20 years of breeding. The Blue Sky folks are good people I have known them for several years and I am sure their success rate is around the same as mine. Your chances of a pup turning out increase if you buy from someone who actually hunts their dogs like Mr. Mason. There are many Catahoula kennels out there that produce very good dogs you just have to research them and ask lots of questions. Stay away from straight bay pen dogs. I had a Chihuaha that bayed in a pen before,, but I wouldnt take it to the woods. If you know what I mean.

Sorry to hear that! The two I kept I havent been able to hunt as much as I would like to, but they are both rough. The gyp thinks she is a bulldog.

I have a nice set of Aluminum wheels for a Ford F-250 4 X 4 with 265/75/16 Toyo all terrain tires to go with them. Wheeels look like new. Comes with hubcaps and lugs. Tires have about 30,000 miles on them. Still in good shape but have wear on them. $ 200.00
