My brother has the best catahoula I've ever hunted with or seen, we hunt the thick country of south central ok so the dogs have to beat the bush the dog is on up at lest 11 years old and still consistently strikes hogs, in his prime we could either hood him or ground him he would take a track strike and  bay a set we'd  tie 2 or 3 out of the initial bay then tie singles with him until the sun came up, he would wear his pads off his paws on a good night, this after tying 5-10 hogs, when we would hood him he would strike 500yrds off the road, and all of the feed above is right he doesn't go around bragging about this dog, but everyone who's ever hunted with us knows his name and tells tales of him. All this being said my brother is very tight lipped and we're the type of old school hunters who would rather our stock not be all over the south, this dog has only been bred once to a gyp of his all that gyp would do is bark at a hog in a pen, out of their pups several turned out to be very nice, I don't know if he would be interested in breeding your gyp but he has mentioned he'd like to breed him 1 more time to a sure enough good gyp, I'm sure he'd have no problem showing this dog work even though he's old he's still better than a lot of guys number ones, he would definitely want to see your gyp work in our country b4 he would even consider it, also very strict on looks, no bulldog catahoulas, this male is rangy  will go as far as it takes will put teeth on a runner will set back and bay for days you have to catch his hog because he will not quite, if your still interested his Name is Ricky Wood the dogs name is Scar
