who do y'all recommend for a guided deer hunt? Me and a buddy are Florida born and raised and hog hunt nightly but we're looking for something different to do, and want to take a trip. I've been to Texas a couple time now and the areas I went I loved it and felt really at home. Can anybody point me in the right direction thanks !

All the lipper dogs I've seen have been black head dogs with black ears and black on their face. Are they all like this also I see that a lot of them are long legged and heavy dogs, I'm just worried about them being to big to be baying on a hog. I'm interested in them because I know of a guy who has a litter and will let me get a pup and I know the daddy to that litter have hunted with him and he is a good dog, but he isn't a huge dog. But I had a lipper/nacturnal nailer dog and I got raid of him because he was so big and he wasn't extremely slow but was the slowest out of my pack. I just don't want to judge all lipper dogs just off mine that I had I'd like to know a little bit more about all of them.

11  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Got a great idea on: July 18, 2014, 08:35:34 pm
I don't know if this has been thought of, or mentioned before, or if they have it already. But it would be nice if they had a walky talky on my garmin, so I could talk back and forth with my guy I'm hunting with. All in one hand held that way I don't have to carry so much stuff.
12  HOG & DOGS / HOG DOGS / Re: Cut Vest for Dog Attacks on: July 16, 2014, 08:03:51 pm
Something like "don't bother with the gladiator vest, it's nothing more than two canvas dog coats sewn together" or "xyz tried it on with my dog but he had his vest on so nothing happened" or "a single layer of kevlar won't stop a dog bite but the triple layer should stop the teeth reaching the skin".         Why do you want someone to write that? You've been given plenty of advice on options and are still pushing like your looking for something else like you want to take someone's suggestion out of context to use it for something else. I'd leave this alone and not talk to this guy fellas, if he is legit and cares for his dog he will figure it out on his own he got this far. But I think it's something more, smells fishy !

14  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Neutered dog ? on: April 04, 2014, 10:56:02 pm
Halfbreed, man told me this dog comes from competing coon dog, he's got me believing he just doesn't want he's blood spread out there and claiming to be those dogs, but I would think if you bread this great dog why would you neuter the whole litter? What did you breed him for ? Just to sale the pups? Honestly asking because I'm learning... Usually we breed dogs because we want the dogs like what we have and then after they get going the best out of the bunch gets kept around to see if he or she is good enough to breed to keep it going, but I am referring to cur dogs I've always had, still new to this change I've made to treeing walkers which is what this dog is, what if he ends up being an all star of a dog was it really a good idea to cut him so that he wasn't messing with a female on a hunt?

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Neutered dog ? on: April 02, 2014, 10:32:24 pm
I've been offered a young dog, his a year and a half old and just been started and messed with a little. BUT he has been neutered. Anyone ever hunted a neutered dog?
18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Selling a dog question on: April 01, 2014, 10:28:58 pm
I think I'm just done with the Internet dog selling thing really, I'll still probably buy from someone selling if I have to but I know how to call and inquire about a dog without wasting their time. But as far as selling a dog ill just stick with swapping with the guys I know.
19  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Selling a dog question on: April 01, 2014, 09:34:37 pm
I don't sale many dogs when I do it's usually with friends of a friend thing so I some what know them and I've only posted 3 dogs ever on the Internet. I got a guy right now that wants to buy my dog off the Internet that's on the other side of the state. First off any time I have ever baught a dog I drive to where it is to pick it up. I've just assumed the same if I have a dog for sale the guy buying it comes to get it. He wants me to drive to meet him, nice guy I am I say alright ill meet you here it's about half way prolly 30 mins more for him but hey ... He says come on man you can come further than that. I right him back and say that's as far as I'm going bud sorry, and he hasn't responded. But I'm just sitting here thinking I don't get some people...( By the way this is in Florida not Texas I'm not on here to start anything just wonder how it usually goes for you guys buying and selling )
