Looks like a fine weekend Cajun sorry you had to hunt with Luke I was wondering where he slipped off to when he didn't show up for work today.

I think we wore ole Luke out dragging hogs. He probably slept in today. JK, he is a good hand as everyone else is. We sure enjoyed everyone's company.

Well we had a busy weekend with a lot of company but we sure made it work and had as good a time as a person can have legally. Highwater, his brother and his son Wesley came in from La. Then Luke Mcduffie from Ga. came in. Then I got a call from Josh Free that he had a female that was coming in and he wanted to breed so him, his son Kason and Joe Hebert from Ok. and Ark. came in. We got his female bred to my Tracker dog. We had a good hunt catching 10 hogs Sat. and Sunday. It was great being able to talk with dog men from 4 different states. We hunted with my usual crew Charlie, Larry and Mike the Knife.

Really good hunt. I sure like the running gear on those dogs and that is a good looking bulldog.

  One is better then none. some days are just like that.

Nice hogs and good looking dogs. Nice to have people working together to keep a bloodline going.

  Nice Barr. There are only a few places we barr them. The rest of the places are kill them or we do not get to hunt there.

  Those are two good boar. They can be pretty tough when you bay them in their bed. Good hunt.

  Good Barr. It is hard for sure when you have a big hog with no ears. I bet he will eat pretty good.

  That was a good one to get the pup on. Hopefully the other one will be right behind him.

  They have really matured and muscled out with good legs. If they hunt as well as they look, you hit the jackpot.

Caught 8 that we actually laid our hands on. Got some more dogs on IR. It was Yellow’s first day back from being on IR and he is back on IR along with Sage. Still have about 5 more that will take a couple more weeks. Got the pups going good. They were following my Echo female. She is a roll out artist.

Made a quick hunt. Caught two sows n a boar. Pulled the dogs on a race because it was time to go.

Some are tighter mouth then others but if a dog can smell it and move it, I want him opening. Besides, I like those hogs to know what's coming.

The Plotts caught most of them. The bulldogs caught the bigger boars.

  Glad you were able to make it down WOW. I know the feeling. I am a year behind you and it does not get any easier but the drive is still there and the passion to hear those dogs run keeps me going. I have long since given up on being the first to a bay and just walk at my own pace but if I lead the bulldog, they have to wait on me. lol  Glad you made it home safe.

We caught 7 with one of the hogs being caught by Travis Smith’s dogs and ours. Travis Smith graciously donated one of his hogs to the Warriors. We caught 7 plus Travis’s hog he donated. Got some dogs busted up today. People that helped were Andy Becker, Charles Gaines, myself and Kaleb. Also saw this dinosaur out along with about 10 others. He was an easy 10-12’. He was thick. Look at the jowels on him.

Mike the Knife, my son Travis were able to help my buddy Charlie out with the wounded warrior hunt we put on. We had a blast and caught 6. A very worthwhile cause to give back to those that have given so much. 


You have to love a good rig dog.

A friend Jameson Peschel, GF Misty and daughter Riley came for a few days of hunting. Caught 16 in 4 days with my buddies Larry Smith, Charlie Gaines, Craig Hartzod and Mike the knife.
