I have catchdogs it is the strike and bay dogs I am working on now.I have a carver/sorrells bred dog that is 85 pounds of hate and rage when it comes to a hog. Have others but he is the 1 I am focusing on right now when I get him finished I will start the next 1. I have a plott/walker gyp that I intent to breed to a blackmouth cur and my neighbers good redbone gyp got out of his heat pen and got to my carver dog .He dont want the mixed pups so I am gonna take the whole litter. hopefully out of both litters I can come up with 3 or 4 that will make the grade. thanks guys

sounds like a nice set up.I would go with 5x10 runs plenty room for 1 dog and could double up if need be.I have 5x10 above ground kennels with barrels mounted outside and a 12x16 ft building for feed, equipment, and the much loved coffee pot.I also have a 5x6 ft whelping pen inside.

My neighbers red bone gyp escaped his heat pen and got bred to my carver/sorrells bred pitbull. This female is a TREE DOG and bays hard on a shoat in a pen.He dont want the mixed pups and said I can have the whole litter if I want them.Think they would be worth a try?

I am just getting started in hogging.Hogs are just getting started here in ky but population seems to be growing steadily.I raise american pitbull terriers and recently picked up the start of my hog dog pack. 4 year old plott/walker that I am planning to bred to a mountain cur.I really enjoy this site and reading bout doggers everywhere.Hope ya'll don't mind answering lots of questions because I am sure I gonna need alot of help in coming months.Glad to be here and in good company
