Hunted with him in the TDHA hunt I guess it was in 2011 I believe.  Real nice feller, let us shower at his parents house and what not after hunting our butts off for a couple days.  When we hunted with him if I remember correctly, he had just gotten some dogs and was getting into the sport.  Just curious how everything turned out, I havent ever heard much or talked to him since we left hallettesville that weekend.  He sure had some good places to hunt there around Brady and Voca. Glad to see he is still in it.

That was one long weekend josh!

Where did yaw get the ripper from? Im assumin it was used when yaw got it? Are there no numbers anywhere on any of the ripper tines or mnt housing, nowhere, not a singal part? The mnt housing/braket may b case specific, but them tines i would think would universal, but thats an assumption n could a wrong assumption. What bout takin the deminsions of the other 1 thats left n call cat or jd n c if their ripper tines are comprable
I have looked everywhere I have thought to look on it and haven't found one yet. Knowing the caliber of people I sometimes come in contact with the dang thing is probably hot and had the serial number grinded off of it Cheesy hope not! I'm gonna call warren cat and see if maybe they could help?

A machine shop might be something to look into also
I already thought about that. Industrial bucket in ft worth wanted 400 dollars a piece and that wasn't including pins and teeth

I'm going tomorrow! I took my trailer out there this morning and then got a phone call to head to the ranch so that REALLY put a damper on my plans.

This ripper was just put on our dozer about two months ago. It doesn't say that it is a case ripper and I can't find any serial numbers on it, but it fit perfectly to the holes that were machined in the dozer so I asse that it is a case part.

I need y'all's help if you can. About a month ago I parked our dozer at the front of one of our places. Well it sat there about a week and some sorry son of a gun came by a stole two of the three ripper shanks off of it which weight about 200 pounds a piece. I have looked and looked and can't find anywhere that has the same ones. Does anyone know where else I can look?

17  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Hogs kill livestock??? on: March 30, 2013, 11:25:41 pm
If rattlers ain't rattlin cause of hogs then none of em would rattle. Javelinas been around Texas a lot longer than hogs and I've watched em in the deer stand play with em tossin em in the air. That don't make much since to me
Ill take your word for it. I'm not gonna test the theory. Lol
18  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: Hogs kill livestock??? on: March 30, 2013, 10:53:26 pm
You shouldn't be skeptical at all. That is the only reason I got into hog hunting with dogs to begin with.  4 years ago we lost seven calves in our canyon pastures in marble falls. I'm not saying they were all lost to hogs but I know for a fact two of them were because I rode up on it happening after it was far to late to do anything. Now I have been hearing stories on rattlesnakes not rattling because of hogs eating them?!

20  HOG & DOGS / GENERAL DISCUSSION / Re: How do curs hunt in hill country on: March 06, 2013, 02:00:56 pm
Canyon ranch and I hunted my ranch in marble falls about two months ago for the first time. It's was a learning experience for us and the dogs. After about a mile run halfway to a bay down in the canyons then back to the ranger and a 20 minute drive to another piece of property and a lot of walking we finally caught a sow, not the boar we were on at the beginning of the ordeal. Lol it will keep you in shape for sure.
