I believe hounds have an advantage over curs in these categories:    1. Nose
                                                                                             2. Stamina
                                                                                             3. Hunt Drive
                                                                                             4. Bottom end
I also believe hounds typically have a bigger motor and thats probably what give them the advantage in #2,3,and 4.
this being said all our dogs are hound cur crosses
