I only run three bay dogs and they are not very gritty.   Two of them are silent til lookin at the pig but I have a blue lacey that can get yippy if we go a while with no hogs.  We hunt cypress creek bottoms and the sulphur river bottoms so the pigs have some pressure on them.  If my dogs get a hog stopped most of the time they can keep it stopped.  Seems like the break as soon as they see my dogs
