hogaholicswife, welcome to the board. Some good people on here...even some of the Texas ones... Grin  JUST KIDDING GUYS!!

I am in central Fla and my dogs are mostly cowdog bred. I have never hunted the cane fields and from what I hear about them, I will stick to the palmettos and cypress swamps!

Good looking dogs, you gotta love the red and yellow dogs....

Thanks!  I have really enjoyed reading others posts/stories and seeing how everyone else hunts.

We love our yellow and red dogs - you cant beat them! I am not up to date on bloodlines but do hear them from time to time - I think the most popular around here are the Partin Dogs and someone gave us a 1yr old Wetherford Ben bred dog recently.

We were looking at some leopard dogs from Live Oak and considering getting a female to eventually put some bay back in our dogs if she could keep up but I convinced the hubby to breed his little "princess" and we are hoping on some jam up puppies out of this litter as it goes back to some awesome dogs on both sides.

The cane is tough on them and us - it is thick and messy to say the least, we catch some VERY GOOD hogs out of it but have also had major wreckage.
