For what it's worth I had a dog get tapes and I used the Equimax, about what you'd put on a toothbrush.  This was on a 52lb dog and it knocked the tapes out.  I've since started using Ivomec and Safeguard for 2 months and then hit them with the Equimax on the 3rd month and i haven't had anymore problems.  I had heck with fleas this past year and this really kept the tapeworms killed out.
