This may be way off, but i had a buddy that had pups and about every other day one would die. They tried everything they could think of for parvo. They had symptons of not wanting to eat and having running stool just as you mentioned. After thinking the whole time it was parvo or some type of infection and pumping them with anitibotics it turned out to be hookworms. Not saying that's what your case was, but it sounds possible. had you wormed all the pups before the one died?
